Absolute Tattoo

I absolutely love this place. The amazing designs and creativity of this place is top notch. By far is very professional. When there is a cover up or a very artistic design that no one will touch, you an always count on em to pull off the most amazing artwork. If you are looking get some work done, I promise Absolute Tattoo will not disappoint, and you will be satisfied with not only their work but also your experience..

I had been wanting to get a specific tattoo for a few weeks, something simple, yet could never find the time. Then I finally had a day where my shift had been cancelled (healthcare agency) and I knew I needed to take advantage of that day and finally get my tattoo done. After walking into Absolute Tattoo and explaining that that was the only day I had open and was desperately wanting to get it done the receptionist told me there were no openings at the moment but she would see if she could make something happen. She asked for my phone number and low and behold about an hour after I left she called and asked if I could make it back up there because she had found a spot to get me in. Needless to say I got my tattoo that evening and it turned out wonderful. The artist even took the time to listen to the type of writing style I wanted and hand drew it out based off of what I had explained to him. I would highly recommend Absolute Tattoo as they will make sure they give you what you want, paying attention to every detail.

Beyond amazing! The shop & staff were very nice. Jodi(could be spelling wrong) is amazing, she will be the one i go to everytime! Made me feel comfortable wasn't mean or in any way made it feel awkward. My first tattoo was for my son i lost so was kinda hard but something i needed. Thank you Jodi for doing my son's first tattoo 1 of many for him, im sure. I will definitely be back for more! Meant the world to me.

Absolute Tattoo celebrated it`s 10 year anniversary on Sat with drawings, giveaways, contests, a food truck and lively conversation! I think all in attendance had a great time! The kids were kept busy with an obstacle course and jump house as the adults mingled,,,GREAT TIME!!

Yeah been trying to get a cover-up tatt did the online consultation and sent them several photos and no response or reply. So I'll obviously be finding a different tattoo shop, not pleased with them at all, guess they don't want return business. Yeah they post that but leave out all the messages I replied back after I called and was told they had no messages from me. Whatever guess all my money will find another tattoo shop

After many years of trying to find an artist to do some coverup work and others giving nonsense ideas jake was very excited and eager to start on mine after I told him what I wanted done and it looks great. Jodie has done one for the wife and myself and very awesome and very friendly both do awesome work. This is the only place I'll go to get my work done.

Walked in with no appointment and wanted to get a full detailed upper arm tattoo. The owner didn't even think twice he just began helping me. Everyone there is incredibly friendly. And of course to top it off he did an insane job on it! I couldn't be more happy with the outcome! After this experience I won't go anywhere else but here! Highly recommend to everyone!

Jacob has done all three of my tattoos and I refuse to let anyone else put ink on me. He always does great work and is a spectacular person overall. Fun to talk to and has interesting stories. Stellar people, stellar work, stellar value.

*edit* Jacob the owner has reached out to me to clarify that the tattooist who gave me the plain experience described below is named Stan, and no longer works at Absolute Tattoo. I will be scheduling a new experience here soon and provide another update following that! Thanks! (Added stars because of this) 🙂

August 2016 - It had been 11 years since my first tattoo and I'm not originally from Topeka. I had heard of this place from an acquaintance so I went in to get a quote. I had an idea of what I wanted and showed the receptionist a Google image for comparison. She gave me an estimated time frame for the tattoo and we set my appointment for 3 weeks out.

The day arrived and I showed up a few minutes early. But then I had to wait an hour and a half as the guy was still working on someone else! They offered to reschedule me but I had waited so long I just wanted to get my tattoo! I had asked to see my design but she didn't have it at the front desk, he had it at his station. So I didn't see it until right before he was slapping it on my arm in a hurry to finish at closing time. So I figured he would adjust the time I had waited, but nope, still gave me the 3 hour price. By then I didn't argue, I was ready to get out of there.

Lesson learned: speak up. About design, price, and experience.

Oh and I have since found a different place/tattooist that I like enough for repeat business and possibly a cover up soon.
