Been getting tattooed from Matt at Horseshoe Tattoo and previously Electric Art for almost 20 years. Never had a bad experience and his work is stellar. People ask me about all the time about them and I cant wait to tell them about Matt's shop and his work. I've never been in a cleaner shop or well maintained one. Matt and his shop is top notch and I'll continue to use Matt and his shop and his tattooing expertise. If I could give him and his shop 10 stars I would. Keep up the good work 🤘

We would like to caution anyone thinking of using this person. My son scheduled an appointment with this person (Jordan Jones) who stated he was booked up for months yet happen to have a cancellation (first red flag - any professional booked up 6 months would have a lengthy wait list..). Unfortunately we proceeded with the appointment which was a 2 hour drive for us. We showed up 10 minutes ahead of scheduled time to a very poorly repaired building called Horseshoe Tattoo in Lexington KY that was locked up with no one in sight..no one showed up so 10 minutes past the scheduled time my son text this person who stated "sorry man I'm waiting on my delivery it's running late...can you get breakfast I'll be there in 35-45 minutes". We left. Bad business. My husband called this so called tattoo artist and after some conversation discovered that his "delivery" he was waiting on was the materials to do the tattoo for my son?!? This was very insightful! This person who claimed to be booked up solid for months did not have the materials to complete ONE tattoo! SCARY! And the place he was shacked up in...I wouldn't take my dog!! AVOID THIS PERSON and PLACE!! This Jordan Jones puts himself on websites, Facebook and instagram - ALL sites where he can control what people say about him. Hopefully the local health department will close this place down.

We came to Horseshoe because Stephanie James is working here and she did my wife's first tattoo and it looks amazing a year later. We like the semi-private feel of the studio as it is not just a social gathering place with gawkers and people coming and going. Stephanie set the appointment with my wife...... and we showed up 30 minutes early and Stephanie took us in immediately and after getting the artwork ready she delivered a quality tattoo just as we expected.
We highly recommend Stephanie as she is personable, takes pride in her craft, and made sure to keep checking with my wife to ensure she was comfortable and approved of each aspect of the process. I really do not know what else you could want or expect when seeking out a tattoo/ artist. We also appreciate that Stephanie gave us feedback on the piece my wife wanted and helped her make informed decision on the tattoo rather than just saying yes to anything for the sake of taking money and not caring what the finished product looked like..... trust your artist, they probably know what works and what does not!!

Jordan jones never showed up for appointment. Terrible business, didn't even have supplies to do tattoo. Text and said he was waiting on "a shipment". Turns out he was waiting on supply's to do my tattoo the day of. He had weeks in advance to prepare. BEWARE!!

Started going Horseshoe Tattoo when my best friend got her freckles tattooed by Gisella. Both Gisella and Matt are very funny and friendly! Gisella does wonderful permanent make-up and small tattoos! If you’re looking for bigger pieces then hit up Matt!
