Implant quality jewelry, Association of Professional Piercers member Piercers, and the areas best selection of quality jewelry. Founded in 1973 by Tattoo Charlie, the studio has consistently been at the forefront of safety standards. Charlie was one of the first artists nationwide to begin wearing gloves, he pioneered the use of disposable tubes in the early 1990’s (most studios still reuse steel tubes to this day), and Charlie and his son Buddy helped write the regulations governing tattooing and piercing for the state of Kentucky. Charlie passed away in 2007, his son Buddy took over running the business at that time."

It really is like an art exhibit. They have art for sale and it's a really cool set up. The receptionist was nice and the place was very clean. My artist, phil was quiet but took his time and did a good job. I saw the work the other artist there was doing as well and her work was amazing.

Such an awesome place! They go out of their way to give you the best and safest tattoo possible. The artist are amazing. They will take the time to explain everything about your tattoo to put your mind at ease. Tattoo Charlie’s is my go to place.

Got turned away after trying to make an appointment ahead of time online and then showing up twice in one day. The artists are clearly only interested in big-ticket items and they arrogantly brush off less pricey jobs. All is well that ends well, because I received great service and a great tattoo from the other store on Dixie Highway. Do not waste your time running back and forth to Preston Highway unless you are willing to get an entire body part tattooed.

Such a great experience with Tattoo Charlie’s. Went in for a nose piercing and was attended super quick. The piercer was fantastic he informed me so well on everything and made sure I felt super comfortable. Honestly so worth the price, and my nose piercing is amazing.

My son went in March 2018 to fix one he got from a friend and add to Dave was great with him. I wanted first Tattoo so on March 17 came back to Dave got my first one a matching one with my sister. Love the atmosphere and how we treated.i liked how Dave made me feel at ease. My son went back today for a new tattoo with Dave. My oldest daughter got one a few months ago also. So since March we had 5 tattoos done there and be getting more.

I have got all 10 of my tattoos, and my wife received her 7, from Tattoo Charlies and every time we have gone there for work we have been greeted and helped with any and all questions we have had. The work we have had done has turned out great and we have felt safe getting them done since they follow strict rules to make sure you are safe. Will definitely be going back.

Love love love Tattoo Charies!!!! I had my first ever tattoo there (and about to add to the collection)! I can honestly say this is one of the best shop across the country (as I have lived on every coast...) they are also great with piercings!!!!
