Dan is awesome!! I made an appointment with Dan because I wanted someone who did fine line tattoos, but with a bold outline and after doing a ton of research Dan was my guy! This was my first large tattoo and he was super accommodating and continued to check on my to ensure I was feeling okay and comfortable. He absolutely killed it and I cannot wait to continue to add onto this floral sleeve!

I needed to get a cover up for a tattoo and I couldn't have asked for a better tattoo artist than Dan! I walked in with a tattoo idea that I thought would hide the letters on my arm, but I wasn't in love with it. Thankfully Dan seemed to know what would work best to hide the old tattoo, while coming up with something unique and beautiful. I shared some other tattoo ideas that I loved and he came up with something better than I originally walked in suggesting. Not only is he an amazing tattoo artist, he's fast and they use this numbing spray that made the shading process pain free. I nearly fell asleep! Everyone at Black Torch is very friendly. It's an awesome group of people. I will definitely be a repeat customer here. Dan is my go-to from now on! Thanks again.

Dan is hands down one of the most talented and passionate tattoo artists I’ve ever met. His skillset is above par and he exceeded my expectations in every way. He took my vague tattoo design request and turned it into something incredible. From start to finish, he was incredibly gentle and made sure I was taken care of. I loved the vibe of the entire studio and staff, and I’ll always recommend Dan to anyone looking for tattoos in the Baton Rouge area! I’ll be back soon for sure.

This place is amazing. Everyone is so welcoming on top of the amazing artists!! (Specifically Dan) I came here with my daughter on a day they were able to accommodate it (not sure if they always can but they did this time) and Miranda sat with her and helped to entertain her while I got my tattoo. Dan also was very kind and patient with her and let me know how to make sure she was completely safe and keep any needles and possible health hazards away. They are super clean, ethical, kind, and just overall great :)

I had a fantastic day at this shop! Courtney was professional and amazing at explaining the process for my hex piercing this afternoon! Dan did my first tattoo and his lines were beautiful! I felt safe and at ease for the entire process! This shop is clean, professional and has a super stylish wait area. I will be returning for sure!!!

I’m so glad I looked this place up. I was a walk-in and I was seen very promptly. I was serviced by their piercer, Courtney R, and she was absolutely amazing! She was welcoming, friendly and professional. I only do reviews when necessary and this was necessary! Courtney did a 10/10 job with my piercings! I was also able to purchase top quality body jewelry here as well (nose & nips)! Thank yu again!

I was in town visiting family, I got tattooed by Daniel, he drew up my design on the spot and it was seriously better than I ever could have imagined! I really like this shop, can’t wait to get back. The receptionist was seriously so cool - and friendly. There’s lots of flash to browse while you wait and a comfy couch to boot. Highly recommend.

Absolutely cannot recommend enough going to Courtney for piercings! She was extremely patient with me whenever I got nervous and made sure I left with plenty of knowledge about aftercare. I did a custom order with her for my downsized posts and she made the process seamless and so much fun! If I could put more than 5 stars I would.

Dan was my tattoo artist and he is incredible. He had great attention to detail and made sure I was comfortable. He knew this was my first tattoo and made sure I was satisfied with what I was getting. When I walked in the door he was ready with some sample images of a tattoo which showed me he took this very seriously and cares about what he does. It was a fantastic environment and Dan made it that much better.
