I'm a little late at getting to this, but Cipher Tattoo is seriously an experience that I think you could only get in larger cities before Zack opened the studio. I started getting work done by him in 2012 and at this point I have about 80 percent of a full sleeve and half of another. The dedication he has not only to tattooing, but art in general should be all the reassurance one needs to commission Zack to do work. Everything in the studio is placed with a purpose- from the issues of Juxtapoz to the large mirror in the back. This is an experience Baton Rouge has never had before, but desperately needed. Stays stocked with Slim Jims too if you need another reason.

Nick is AMAZING! I met with Nick to discuss my tattoo ahead of time. He listened to me and allowed me to talk through the reasoning of my tattoo then came up with a great idea and design. Nick is very nice and talented. I'm glad I went there and can't see myself going anywhere else.

Cipher Tattoo is honestly SO amazing. Very up beat, KNOWLEDGEABLE artists who care about their clients and their work. Nick is my artist and I will be using him (with his knowledge of tattoos) for my future peices. Its difficult to find good artist these days who legit care about the people they are tattooing and who are passionate about doing it. Nick did a cover up for me on a tattoo that I had been dying to get rid of and now you can’t even tell it was there. The shop is so clean and Nick was the most helpful artist I’ve ever been to. The tattoo came out better than I could’ve ever imagined. I’m so happy I found this place because it will be the only tattoo shop I go to from here on out!
