I've been to a few shops in New Orleans and I have had the best experience by far at Idle Hands. Everyone here is really nice and really care that you're getting what you want. Flex was very gentle and my tattoo healed beautifully and the colors are very vibrant. Having a place to go where the people there really care that you get a great tattoo makes this shop different then the rest. And they are really reasonably priced, which doesn't hurt either. I highly recommend. It's the only place I'll go to now.

This is by far the best tattoo experience that I have ever had. My friend and I made an appointment to get tattoos, and while we were there my husband (who was with us) decided to get one too. Flex was awesome, and helped him out as soon as he finished mine and my friends. The conversation was great the entire three hours that we were there. Good music, and all around just a super comfortable environment. Will definitely be stopping back in the next time we are in NOLA!

Shawn was awesome!!! I was in town for a week and wanted to get a souvenir of my trip. I messaged a couple places and Idle Hands got back to me and suggested Shawn. I checked out his work and I loved it. I showed up and Shawn was great, he gave me good criticism about the size and placement of my tattoo, and it turned out better then I imagined. He was super personable and gave us great suggestions of places to visit while we were in town. Overall I had an wonderful experience and next time I'm in town I'll definitely be back. This made for a really enjoyable, comfortable atmosphere. I absolutely love my tattoo! Josh made 4 hours of pain into a laid back, relaxing time. What a treat! I’m still sitting in this shop and couldn’t wait to write a review! Holy cow Shawn is INCREDIBLE! My new wife and I walked into this shop (we are currently on our honeymoon) today for me to get a tattoo and from start to finish, our experience was impeccable. Shawn was kind, polite, professional and hilarious. Not only did we BOTH come away with amazing tattoos, but we had a really good time! I’d rate more than five stars if possible.

Hands down, best tattoo shop I have ever been to! If i could give 10 stars I would. I recently moved to the city, and was looking for a new shop. The shop is clean, and very nice! Flex is absolutely the most wonderful artist! Extremely personable and professional, and his work is simply amazing! He has done full sleeves on both my arms, and every one of his tattoos is astounding. I recommend him to everyone I know that wants a tattoo. The other artists in the shop do great work too, and all are very friendly. I will never get tattooed anywhere else!! 10/10!!!

Some of my friends and I booked appointments for a group activity and the whole experience was overall smooth. No time delays or really anything negative. You hear horror stories about some places and this is not one of those places. Super friendly staff and check-in process. Artists are very patient and communicative with the customers. I am in town with my family on vacation and I wanted to get my first tattoo. I looked at probably five places before deciding I wanted to go to idle hands, and I chose this place because of the amazing reviews. Let me just say, the reviews completely hold up! I was really nervous and didn’t quite know where I wanted it but Shawn helped me figure out where it would be best to place it and always told me exactly what he was going to do before he did it. I was comfortable the whole time and everything was very clean, the atmosphere was calm. I am VERY glad I came here to get my first tattoo! It looks beautiful and now I have a cool story!
