Almost Famous Tattoo & Piercings

First off, the shop itself is a vibe. It's clean, the staff is friendly, there's artwork everywhere, and it's well setup. The shop is great. I've been seeing Roman since they had their Ogunquit shop, and he's put 10 separate pieces of amazing artwork into my skin. I've heard amazing things about the other artists there, but I personally have only been tatted by Roman so this review is solely for his work. 10/10 on everything he does. I've sent buddies there to get new work done and everything he does looks absolutely amazing. I've had both my ears tatted by Roman and the entire top of my hand and I wouldn't have let anyone else do it. I got a piercing done out of state and was having a lot of difficulty removing the earring. The piercer I saw (Missy?) was super friendly and had it out in no time. She even put a new placeholder earring in for free. They're limiting the number people in the shop due to covid so I also felt super safe. Thanks, Almost Famous!

In 2019 I got my nose pierced at a DIFFERENT place and right after I got it I started gushing blood and it was bleeding for days! At the appointment they told me to spin it twice a day and use sea salt and a cotton swabs to clean it and I could chang it out in 3 weeks. It caused me like 80 dollars and I got this really bad bump and it got supper infected so I had to take it out.

Fast forward to 2021 and i really missed it and wanted to get it done again SO my friend and I decided to get ome done together. We did some research and found this piercing/tattoo shop in Portland (it's an hour away from me.) When I walked in it was supper clean Missy the piercer was supper nice and professional. She opened everything up in front of me and told me what she was doing and explaining why she was doing it. When I told her about my experience the last time I got it done she explained to me what they did incorrectly and told me how to properly take care of it. It never started bleeding, today is the first full day of me having it and it doesn't even hurt! When before I was in alot of pain for DAYS!

I had got a piercing from another place a few months ago that was a horrible experience and was afraid to get another. Missy was beyond amazing and let me know what was happening every step and didn’t do anything without making sure I was ready. If you’re looking for an amazing piercer this is your place!!

My friend and I came at 6 on Saturday, the guy gave every excuse in the book to not tattoo us, probably because they were too comfy just sitting on the couch doing nothing. I don’t blame them, but as an owner I would be concerned. We went to a far more reputable shop and our tattoos came out amazing!

There’s a reason why it’s called almost famous because that lack of professionalism is actually impressive. It’s like they honestly don’t want my money. Went in to get a piercing, as they only do walk ins, and was told to come back an hour and a half later because the piercer was not in. When I came back they told me to wait again as their piercer was not responsive/uncommunicative. I don’t have all day to waste so I said to hell with them! Tried asking for available times and dates and making some kind of tentative appointment so I could get a piercing done and they looked at me like there was nothing they could do and resumed sitting on a couch in the lobby playing on their phone. All I’m saying is that if you want business - have someone that comes in regularly or take appointments. Very disappointed as they wasted my time - TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

I went in yesterday for a septum piercing and the guy who pierced it did it crooked the first time. I had to go back in and he repierced it. He was rude and didn't talk me through anything that was happening. Avoid the guy with a beard who works at liberty ford.

I got a piercing done elsewhere and had some issues with it while I was in the area on vacation. Almost Famous was the only place open on a Sunday but I'm so glad it was! Missy was professional, knowledgeable, and gentle. I will definitely go the extra distance to get my next piercing here!

Got a piercing here from Missy. The shop was clean, everyone was super friendly, professional, and precise! Missy is a skilled piercer and the process was quick and easy. She and her apprentice were extremely knowledgeable as well! Will definitely come back in the future.
