I've gotten two tattoos from the artist Rhonda here. And I can't wait to get more. I've had my first one for almost a year and it still looks fairly new! They sell some pretty neat bones here too, if you are a collector. They also sell all the soaps and creams you need to take care of your fresh tattoos. Remember if you dont take care of em they wont always heal right!

I contacted Ink Maine several months ago wanting to get a tattoo in memory of 2 very important women in my life who died within 3 years of each other. I sent Kris several pictures I came across that I loved of the designs, and the butterflies I wanted. I told him to be creative with what I provided. I also sent him my mom’s hand writing that said “Love you, Mom” from a note she left me before she died. I asked if he could incorporate into the tattoo. I didn’t see his design until I arrived at Ink Maine. I was completely blown away. He drew up a beautiful, elegant design. I was extremely nervous as this was my first real tattoo. He was very comforting, he made me feel at ease, he was gentle, and very professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better artist to do this tattoo for me. His shop is very clean, he takes the time to listen to what you want, he’s extremely talented, and his work incredible. I HIGHLY recommend Kris at Ink Maine. I will absolutely be back for another.

First off. The woman below who posted the negative review, Pia, has never stepped foot in the shop and as such has no grounds to throw in her two cents. I've worked with the owner outside of the shop, he's a great human being who goes out of his way to help his local community and raise charities so less fortunate kids can receive art supplies. Getting that out of the way and speaking solely for the tattoo work provided for me. It was a comfortable environment brimming with good conversation/humor and as intricately detailed and big as my piece was it took him a short time to complete. The colors are still bold months later and the tattooing itself was one of the least painful of the 18 I currently have.

I always have any piercings my girls get done here. Jess is very professional and extremely friendly. She makes you feel comfortable and gives you advice on how to care for your piercing after. If you have questions after she answers them for you.
