Red Canary Tattoo

I came for the summer flash event and I just had to go to the doctor and both of my tattoos are infected. They're afraid I have Staph or MRSA and I now I need antibiotics. I am a tattoo veteran, I have award winning artwork on my body, I know how to care for my ink. They said that it's nothing I've done wrong, that there's no way the tattooist used clean equipment. They were just glad I came when I did 😱😡 My friends who also went are having issues with theirs as well. Even though I love my designs and the staff was nice, it wasn't worth it.

I feel safe getting tattoos here because it really seems like the guys care if their customers like the artwork on their skin after it’s all done, will be back whenever I want a tattoo!

I got the tired and true crab with Maryland flag tattoo. Looks just the way the one they showed that I liked. Tre was good artist, this being my first tattoo I felt like it went well. He was good conversation too which took some of the nervousness from the process. If (when) I get another, I won't shop around I'll just be headed to Red Canary!

I got my tattoo done by the owner, Rick. I went to get a feather tattoo done by Rick. I went to him because he done a few other of my tattoos that did turn out great. Loved them. But the feather and my experience on it has been absolutely horrible. The first time I got my feather done, I hated the tattoo. I didn’t mention it to him at the time because there were a lot of other artist and people in the shop and I felt uncomfortable. I contacted him a bit after and let him know I was unhappy. He offered to fix the tattoo, and I came back for the fix, just to be even more disappointed. He rushed the tattoo, didn’t try to cover up what he did before and it blows my mind, that he would not properly fix the tattoo. So I let it heal and sent him a message still saying how unhappy, I am. He said he would fix it once more, sent a design and I never heard back. I’m extremely unhappy because I was a good client who also always tipped good. So the fact that I’m stuck with a tattoo I look at everyday and say how much I hate is sad. I never thought this would happen to me but here I am. This tattoo is horrible, and I hate it. I’m not the one to write reviews but I tried to do solve it otherwise and it wasn’t resolved. I came in for my first tattoo after a recommendation from a friend. I got a medium size piece on my forearm with color. I came in with a very vague idea and only 2 reference photos of what I wanted done. I came in an hour before they closed and got an appointment the next morning as soon as they opened. My final result is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Very clean and professional environment. Ill definitely be back.

Small tattoo. Charged me $60. Took him about 5 minutes, at most. I was pleased with it at first but noticed a blowout a few days later. I asked several times before getting the tattoo what size needle he would be using so that this wouldn't happen and he would not give me a clear answer. Now I will have to go get a cover because it looks terrible! I will not be back.

Rick took great care of my sibling and i, and we both walked out with gorgeous tattoos for an incredibly reasonable price. There's tons of great, creative American Traditional flash, but the artists are thrilled to work with your design to transform it into real art. The shop is clean and spacious, though there's no handicapped accessible entrance. But as far as quality of work, service, and cleanliness, Red Canary is a hidden gem compared to the higher profile shops south in Frederick.

Rick is an amazing artist, first time I've been to red canary, and love the ink!! I'll be a regular now from here on out! This will be my location for my ink therapy

I love this place. Great atmosphere, great tattoos and all the fundraising is above and beyond! I've gotten tattoos from Rick, spoon, and 2 others flown in for the cuddles cat fundraiser. All of the tattoos are awesome and the artists are very friendly

Went for the Cuddles Cat Rescue flash event and was so happy. Usually at flash events it seems like the artists are rushed and don't take as much time and attention needed but as this event all the artists were careful precise and professional. My tattoo healed perfectly with no bleeding or issues and i absolutely love it. I have been back multiple times and suggest it to all my friends looking for great traditional tattoos
