Studio Seven Tattoos (NO PIERCINGS)

Went here last week for my first tattoo and was very pleased! The studio is very clean, the artists are really nice and make you feel comfortable, and the tattoo turned out perfect!

To respond to the owners comments:

Yes, I did keep my piercing in for eight years. I was young and excited to have a lip ring, wrong or right. It is not fair to judge me on past mistakes, as I was attempting to fix it by seeing Tyler.

I did not ask for it to be “very close and similar to my first placement”. I asked for the scar on the outside of my lip to the front of the piercing, but I told Tyler several times I wanted it re-pierced correctly because it was crooked. I told him where it used to sit, and he informed me that it sounded like it was too close to the front of my lip. I did not approve any holes, because he did not make any marks on the inside, or outside of my lip. When he didn’t do this, I apologize, but I assumed he knew what he was doing.

I went to another studio with the back of the bar somewhat in, and was told it was pierced incorrectly. I was out of town, and was worried it would close if not taken care of promptly. I could not have returned to Studio Seven to have a new bar put in, because I was not in town. I was willing to pay for another piece of Jewelry, and would have promptly followed up with Tyler given the chance, had I not been out of town. The minute I was out of the piercing shop, I notified Tyler so I could ask him what to do. This is when I was told to “just push it back through” even though I explained I was experiencing resistance and I couldn’t get the bar in. Which is also why I saw another piercer, because if I had waited, I feared I would have to take it out, which is what I ended up doing anyways.

Responding so bluntly, assuming you know both sides of the story when you only know one, is extremely unprofessional. I’ve worked in the retail industry for years, and I completely understand people make mistakes. Not owning up to them is an issue. Demoralizing your clients because they feel they are in the right, is an issue. I understand backing your employees, but it is important to learn when someone is wrong or right. I should have been called and talked to to configure the situation, instead of you judging me and rudely responding to my poor review.

Original Review:

I went to Studio Seven with two friends to get piercings. I had my lip pierced for eight years, and had taken it out around six months ago to get it repierced because it was crooked. Tyler pierced my lip, nearly in the same spot as my old piercing (three or so millimeters behind my old closed hole), even after hearing my concerns and why I was getting my lip repierced.

Due to swelling and placement, the bar he put in my lip was too short, and I had to return for a replacement bar a few days after, as my lip was sucking in the short bar.

About a week or so after that, my ball fell off while I was sleeping, and my bar slipped out. The piercing was closed when I attempted to reinsert my bar, so I went to a local piercer to see about reinsertion. I was than told my piercing was crooked.

I contacted Tyler at Studio Seven. He told me there was no right or wrong way to do a piercing, and suggested I shove the bar back through the closing hole, stating it will heal just fine without issues.

I can’t get the bar back through, so now I am out $45, and have to wait for it to close to see another piercer.

All the artists here are really talented! I've gotten multiple tattoos at this shop and will continue to schedule here everytime!

I want say thank you Adam for the work you did on me today. I would totally come back and recommend you to anyone. Everything was very pleasant and clean. You are the best tattoo artist I have had and hope to keep coming back in the future.

Kate did a fabulous job on my thigh tattoo, what is to be the beginning of a rather large project. I was able to share with her my ideas and she brought them to life even better than I could have imagined. I look forward to the rest of this project and what she comes up with.

Wonderful establishment. Very clean and organized. Professional and courteous staff. First time there and would definitely go back. A very comfortable place. Andrew did excellent work and I am still amazed everytime I look at it!

Had a great experience on Friday the 13th at the shop. Game boy did my tattoo which is a voodoo doll. Everyone was very helpful and the shop was very clean. Even though it was busy everyone did their best to make the wait easier. I will be returning for new tattoos in the future!!!

Right when I walked in I felt very comfortable .. After showing the guy at the front counter a pic of what tattoo I wanted he didn't hesitate to point me to the right artist to do the work.. Adam sized up the tattoo perfectly to fit my arm and The tattoo came out great

Very clean and very friendly staff, me and my sister came in around 4:30 and Ryan agreed to give us each 2 tattoos even though they closed at 7. Ryan did an amazing job and I will definitely be returning for more tattoos!

Rob Weir is my artist! He does great work! The only artist I go to! Reasonably priced! Excellent work!
