Lionfish Tattoo

This new shop is filled with some seriously talented artists. Mike has an amazing style and is super easy to work with. I love the tattoo he gave me and will be back soon to work on a sleeve. I plan on working with several of the artists at lionfish, due to the high quality of their artistry.

Also, aside from the top notch tats, I love the Lionfish location. It’s bright, clean, full of plants, and has snacks! It’s very comfortable to be tattooed in the space.

Awesome experience at Lionfish! The shop was very clean and Mike made an effort to explain how things were kept sanitary. Mike is an amazing tattoo artist, and I was excited to see how his vision for what I wanted would come to life. He was friendly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. My tattoo turned out amazing and I would highly recommend him. My first tattoo is by Lauren, who also works at the shop, so you can’t lose by selecting Lionfish for your next tattoo.

The shop is clean and professional with a great ambiance. Mike was my tattoo artist but everyone there was kind and welcoming. Mike talked through every step of the process, what types of materials he was using, and overall made sure I was comfortable the entire time.

I've been to Lionfish for 3 pieces, it is by far my favorite tattoo shop in Lansing. I've worked with Mike and Ian and couldn't be happier with the results. The shop has a super awesome atmosphere and the staff is very welcoming. It is always the first shop I recommend to anyone looking for new tattoo work. Can't wait to continue to add to my artwork collection with further appointments at Lionfish.

I’ve been a client of Mike’s for awhile and I have NEVER been disappointed with his work. I go to him with an idea and he takes it and turns it into something epic. The Lionfish space is fantastic, it’s bright, clean, and classic (no dark, intimidating studio vibes here). The plants especially are such a nice touch, and make it feel really welcoming. I’d highly recommend contacting Mike or any of the other artists if you are looking for quality work in a chill atmosphere.

Awesome shop! If you're looking for a unique and interesting tattoo look no further! Mike went above and beyond and produced an amazing piece for me today. I can't stop staring at it it gets better by the second! He's super down to earth and friendly and made the whole process easy. The other 2 artists there are just as creative and great with their work so no matter what you're looking for they're bound to have it. I'll definitely be back for some more art in the near future.

They say nothing lasts forever. The closest thing, on this side of heaven, may be a tattoo. I got my first at Lionfish Tattoo with Mike Riina. He had a long wait but it was worth every second. I was nervous about the experience but Mike made me feel extremely comfortable. He was easy to talk with, professional, respectful, open-minded, patient and welcoming. The tattoo is exactly what I wanted and I am so pleased with how it turned out. This new location, from a veteran tattoo artist, is in its early stages but very clean, so bright and oozing with potential (much like plasma from my fresh-beautifully-healing-ink 😉). This studio is also home to the phenomenal Miss Lauren, as well as the greatly anticipated, Jay Ellis, who will be tattooing in the shop soon. Don’t put it off. Book an appointment and invest in art that you can carry on your body and enjoy FOREVER, or at least until your last day on this earth 🙂

I could not be more happy with Mike's work. I love the new shop- clean, open, comfortable. My latest appointment was to finish filling in my arm. At the last minute we both decided it looked great as is and we ended up coming up with a completely new design on the spot. I really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to make me happy. It was worth the wait. Book early!

Overall super impressed!! Mike was recommended by friends and their recommendations did not disappoint! Lionfish is top notch on cleanliness and safety with an emphasis on comfort during the whole process. I am continously amazed at their concern for your happiness through the process as well as before tatoo recommendations and after care suggestions. I greatly appreciate that I can check in with my artist any time to brainstorm on the best choices for my working piece. The atmosphere in the studio is always one of fun and collaboration between the artists. I love that they are always sharing work with each other and talking about how to improve their craft. Lionfish is a definate recommendation for me to anyone serious about great art work by professionals.

Lionfish is a great shop: clean, welcoming, and very well lit. I've been going to Mike Riina for years, and he's wonderful. He does excellent work, but also it's a very comfortable tattooing experience with him. Mike is friendly and great to chat with, and he's always very careful to check in if you're comfortable if you're body-shy.
