They are super nice and understanding. Cal was my artist and was very easy going. Patient with my requests and made the whole experience as painless as possible. Both times was a great experience all-around and I love both of my tattoos. I will be booking more appointments with them.
I know they offer piercings I just don't know the extent.

Cal is always on point with all of his work. Literally has done 75 percent of the work on my body, every bit of his work is absolutely amazing!! If you need any work done I would highly recommend Phoenix Rising 💪💪

We've been going here for years. Every time we go home on vacation we usually get some tats and we've been getting them at Phoenix Rising. We had Blake as our artist this time and had Zane before. Both did great. We each got the appeal to heaven flag tat and my wife also got the stars which if you know where they came from bonus points to you. They are an obscure reference to something that is extremely popular. Prices here are good and the tattoos went pretty quickly but they are quite basic as well. Obviously more detailed tats will take longer. The only gripe I have, and have had, with the place is their customer service leaves a bit to be desired. When you go in the shop you sometimes stand around for quite a while or even just leave because no one attends to you. I guess facebook is a good way to get in-touch with them and they were answering the phone pretty well while we were there so that's something. Unless you're getting something that's quick don't try to do walk in. Set up an appointment with your preferred artist, if you have one, or any of them who are available. I would say it's safe to assume they're all pretty darn good so you don't really have to worry about them messing up your tattoo as long as you clearly explain what you want and work with them to make it how you want it.

I personally love this tattoo shop. Not for it's looks but for the work they put out. Don't let the look of the place deceive you, they are some of the most friendly tattoo artists, with the most gentle hands, and the work they put out is top notch. Blake is the artist I go to every time I'm there, and will continue to go to him every time I want a tattoo. He made me feel so welcome, and continues to make sure that I am comfortable and happy. His prices are great, but his work is greater! I highly recommend everyone go to Blake at Phoenix Rising you will not be disappointed. I have received 4 tattoos from him, and already have my next appointment booked!

My initial review was sugar coated. This place is absolute trash in terms of professionalism, skill, and overall everything when it comes to what you want at a good shop. 100% recommend the drive to Grand Rapids or even traverse city if it means you will AVOID this place.

My daughter and I went in to get matching Mother and Daughter tattoo. We showed Blake a picture of what we wanted and he did an awesome job! We love them! My first tattoo, and he was so great. Highly recommend!.

Very friendly and professional and do fantastic cover ups. There is a waiting list but it's well worth it and speaks volumes on how popular they are.
