I had some issues with my nose ring after getting it pierced somewhere else. Staff here was super nice and answered all my questions. They took care of all my issues and I would highly recommend this place to any who are looking for piercings or tattoos.

I have four tattoos from different artists in Kalamazoo, and James Sixx at Art & Soul will, from now on, be the ONLY artist I allow to put ink on my skin. He did a stunning piece on my sister, so I went to see him after seeing his work on her. The piece I wanted was elegant and simple, but due to a large amount of freckles/moles on my body, the placement was key. James was funny, friendly, accommodating, and all-around great to work with. My tattoo looks beautiful and I didn't need any touch ups. I get nothing but compliments from people who see it. James also did a consultation with me to determine if he could fix a bad tattoo I got from a different artist in the area, and he agreed to charge me shop minimum if I decide to go ahead with that. I no longer live in the Kalamazoo area but will absolutely make the drive back if I decide I want more tattoos in the future.

Katie was so great with my daughter (6yrs) getting her ears pierced. She was very thorough in explaining the process and very patient with keeping her calm.

Botched naval piercing and improper advice by fellow pierces as to how to remedy the situation. After 5 months, my piercing was very red, swollen, sensitive, scabbing/bleeding ect.. and was in worse shape than when it was first done. The female piercer here convinced me to keep improper jewelry in which I was sure was only aggravating the situation (a much longer piece was put in as an attempt to reduce swelling by a different shop. horrible idea) and stated that the lack of healing was due to time and my own faults despite my proper cleansing routine and gentleness. Beyond this, the ring is very crooked. When asking my piercer about this concern he said "its leaning to the left because that's what its doing. There's nothing to be done about that." I chose this place because of its high ratings but am disappointed with my results.

I will ALWAYS recommend Art & Soul to anyone who asks where to go. Spanky and Katie have done phenomenal jobs on my piercings! I have yet to get a tattoo done here - but I would!

I called Art & Soul today about getting a lip piercing. I was told who was currently there doing piercings, I was also quoted a price, and even told the current wait time for piercings. I drove 25 minutes to get my lip pierced, just to be told the piercer wasn’t doing oral piercings because of COVID. It would have been nice to be told that when I called, before I wasted gas to drive there.
