Wingnut Tattoo & Piercing Studio

Wingnut is one of those staple shops in Minnesota. Theyve been around for 20 years and have trained most artists at other spots they've been around so long. The owners are knowledgeable and know what they're doing. Super happy with this place.

Got walk in ear piercings about 3 weeks ago with a family member here.
They were able to accommodate us and slide us onto the schedule.
There is a large jewelry selection here.

The thing that impressed me the most was the piercer, Joel.
My family member has a choclear implant. Joel took his time to first understand what it was and then helped her pick the best place on her ear that wouldn’t rub or interfere with the implant. He was exceedingly professional throughout the piercing process.

I went in for an upper lip piercing to complete a set of Angel bites. I walked in on a whim without an appointment and was able to be seen. : ) 1st impression: I was greeted upon entry, studio was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and inviting. My piercer was Joel.

Joel did a great job! The piercing (my experience) was virtually painless. He was fast, efficient, professional, gentle and has great personality. He took his time making sure my piercings were even. He was happy to answer all of my questions and informed me of proper aftercare instructions.
I LOVE my piercings. Day 2 of healing and everything looks and feels great. I was in and out under 30 minutes. I Highly recommend Wingnut Anoka and Joel.!

I had Paxton pierce my nose. Amazing job! Super nervous but he made me feel very comfortable! Everything was clean and sanitized. He walked me through the whole process. All staff is amazing!

AMAZING! I went to Claire’s because I was dumb. My piercing fell out and closed up within minutes. Of course they didn’t answer their phone when I called, so I called Wingnut. They had me come in (they were just closing) and fixed my piercing with no problem. The man was super nice and although I made a dumb teenage decision they accommodated me in a moment of stress and panic. I have learned my lesson and if you’re deciding whether to spend the extra money or save. Spend the extra money and get it done professionally! This place is amazing!

I went here for my septum piercing, the staff were super friendly and my piercer Joel was super patient and walked me through what was happening. Everything seemed very sanitary and clean. Overall a great shop I'd definitely recommend

My friend and I got ear piercings done by Paxton. He was awesome and put up with us as we tried to decide exactly what piercings and jewelry we wanted. He was patient, chill, and professional. Would recommend!

I had made a reservation at Wingnut, and when we got there I was met at the door with a horrible attitude. I'm not one to complain, but this guy seemed like he didn't want anything to do with us. He was snappy and quite frankly rude. We then found out we booked them without reading their policy about not piercing minors. I felt so silly for my mistake, and even after we had apologized they continued to give us a horrible attitude. I am now an adult (I was 16 at the time), but I am very glad I did not get my first piercing there. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the guy at the door.

I got my first nose piercing done here, the device got stuck in my nose and he said “this might hurt” as he yanked it out of my face. It resulted in a bent piece of jewelry that I had to use a pliers to get out of my nose because the parts were stuck. I spent around $90 for a ring, cleaner, and the piercing fee. I then went back in a couple years later to try to get help with my existing piercing, I was prepared to have to buy a new piece of jewelry since mine would no longer go back together, but was not prepared to spend almost $200 dollars to be charged for a new piercing. He told me he couldn’t get the new earring back in, even though I had done it myself the day before with a cheap one I bought for the meantime, and proceeded to re-pierce it without telling me I was going to be charged an insane amount for the 10 seconds it took to put the needle through the existing hole. Had I known I’d be spending double what I spent on my original piercing to have them fix what they already did, I would’ve let it close. Super frustrating and none of that was explained to me before hand, the piercer just did what he wanted and then charged me. I had never been anywhere else for piercings until recently, and after visiting other shops I realized just how ripped off I got here.

This was my first time getting my nose pierced and they did amazing! Joel was the one who did my piercing, he was very helpful and it has healed so nicely! Will definitely go back for future piercings
