BlackEnd Tattoo Atelier

I scheduled an appointment for my first tattoo with the artist Dahlia who decided to cancel my appointment and aggressively verbally attack me because I did not have payment ready 2 weeks prior to my actual appointment.

I do not recommend this shop to anyone who wants a welcoming experience.

I had a really positive experience at BlackEnd. The studio was very conscientious about Covid, the people were friendly, and I walked out with an amazing tattoo. Chase Tucker was my artist -- he was very kind in making sure I was comfortable throughout our session, and he created a stunning design that resulted in a fabulous tattoo. I'll definitely go back for another tattoo.

I've had a couple of pieces done at BlackEnd and was completely blown away! Not only was I beyond pleased with the work I had done, but the overall experience was more than I could have expected. The receptionists are attentive and friendly, the staff is professional and courteous, and the overall appearance of the shop is nothing like I've seen before. It's clean, well put together and just simply beautiful. I would highly recommend this shop and any of the artists to anyone who's looking to get work done. All the artists are so talented and have their own style they bring to the table. I can't wait to go back and get more work done!

If you want a high-quality tattoo from a well trained, safe, and amazingly talented staff, then look no further. For a tattoo in Minnesota, I couldn’t bring myself to go anywhere else. 🏆

I went to BlackEnd Tattoo for my first tattoo and had a great experience! Was tattooed by Jameson, who met with me beforehand to discuss what I wanted and what I liked about different kinds of art which I appreciated! The environment is super friendly and Jamie, as well as the other artists made me feel super comfortable and safe throughout the entire process. Also the tattoo turned out AMAZING. sooo much talent. Will definitely be returning for future tattoos!

I had a tattoo done yesterday by Jameson, it was my first time coming to this shop, and I cannot say enough how happy I am with the work he did. He also showed great integrity by sticking to the estimate he had given me when he could have gotten away with increasing it. In addition, this is a really nice place, super cool people and a classy atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend to someone looking for their first tattoo or a new place to try out.

I got my 8th tattoo today and for the first time went to Blackend tattoo in Minneapolis! My tattoo artist was Sarah and it was by far the BEST experience I have ever had at a tattoo shop. Sarah was very professional from the consultation to the actual tattooing time. It took her three hours to do what I wanted and add details to another tattoo I had recently got that I did not love and it feels as if I got a whole new tattoo with that one to! Now I can say I love my tattoo! She did a great job, the details are insane and I appreciate her excellent customer service and communication skills. Not only that but she was on time and respectful of my time which I greatly appreciate! I can’t wait to go back and add more! Thank you for a great experience! Worth every penny!!!

I called 6 weeks ahead of my hoped for appointment time and spoke with Sami at length about my possible work for them. She responded very positively and communicated that she was sure BlackEnd would be able to help me and asked me to email them with more details and example artwork, etc. I emailed and she wrote back immediately that Zack would be able to cover my appointment and that he would email me back to confirm within a week.
After a week I emailed the shop again just to say I hadn't heard anything and asked if this was still going to be able to happen as previously discussed and again immediately received a reply from Sami saying she would again send my email to Zack as well as speak to him about it and that I should email again if I don't hear back within another week.
After another 9 days, I emailed once more and reported that I still hadn't heard from Zack and what I needed to do to confirm my appointment. I never heard back again from anyone.
I can understand being busy, I can even understand if a particular artist maybe just wasn't into my project and wasn't interested - IF any of that had been communicated to me so I could just move on to another shop. But to be strung along and told things were fine only to ultimately be ignored and treated with silence is rude and unprofessional. Really disappointing...

I pretty much wanna move in here. BlackEnd Tattoo is visually stunning as soon as you walk in, and the people are NICE - from the receptionists to the artists. Ian is my guy and he's fantastic. He's so easy to work with, genuine and professional; and sincerely cares about giving you an awesome tattoo. He's an artist through and through, a creative with vision. I'll go back again and again and would refer anyone looking for custom work, especially. Thanks, BlackEnd and thank you, Ian!!

My new shop. Granted my tattooist started it but the other artists are also fantastic. I'm considering having one of them do my next piece. Plan ahead of time. They're popular which means they're good so you'll probably not be able to walk in. They know their stuff. Clean shop. Great conversation and very personable. I would highly recommend them.
