Fluid Ink Tattoos

My fiancé and I showed up for our appointment (made a week in advance) with the owner Chad and were unbelievably disappointed to drive all the way up there for him to not even show up. Another artist took our contact information and what we were looking for from me for both of us since they only allowed one of us in at a time, and still never heard from anyone. Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism since we drove 30 miles to get there and were stood up for our appointments and never contacted again.

For a place with so many “good” reviews, it was absolutely dead the two times we went.

The tattoo artist got reference pictures and was told to use his creativity to make something unique. Plenty of notes were added. Gave deposit and had 2-3 days to create something awesome. All he did was copy and trace the artwork that had been given. Nothing original! If you want Google stock photo tattoos and Pinterest tattoos, this would be the place for you. If you want original work, go somewhere else.

I had a really good experience with the artist Chuey, good guy, good artist. No complaints. My tattoo is exactly how I imagined it. But there was this guy “Chad” (manager)? He was hovering and making rude remarks while I was getting my tattoo. I have talked to 6 other people that have complained about his attitude, topics of conversation, and overall demeanor many times. His art is also mediocre according to others I've spoken with. I wish I could say my experience was perfect but ...

I’ve been getting tattooed here for years and have always loved the work I got. The shop environment is chill and Jeff did a great job on my tattoo yesterday! Definitely recommend fluid ink for all tattoo and piercing needs.

Went here while I was in St. Paul on vacation with a friend of mine and we wanted some impulse tattoos as memorabilia for the Billie eilish concert. Went for walk in’s and they had time for one of us but not both but they ended up taking us the next day which worked out so much better. The tattoos were nothing complex for the talented artist chuey who did both of ours and the manager Annalise was super friendly! Definitely well priced as I paid $120 for about a soft ball size tattoo fully in black ink that took about an hour and a half. 10/10 would for sure go back if I’m ever in St. Paul again. Thankyou to everyone at fluid ink we love our tats!

I scheduled a month out to get a tattoo. The day before I was scheduled they called and said they need to reschedule me. I said okay not a problem. It was for another 2 weeks out. So now the day is arriving and low and behold they call me again to tell me they have to reschedule me for a later day because there was a mix up with the scheduling. SMH!! I just politely asked for my deposit back. She said yes! Thank the lord. Anywho I have never got tattooed there just seen reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Well guess not. Hopefully no one else has this issue with fluid Ink.

My two friends and I came here for walk in ear piercings, which was nice. But, we didn’t have the best experience. It was quick and easy, but we felt uncomfortable, and we felt like it was an unsanitary process. Our piercer went from handling cash straight to the back room, and we never saw them wash their hands. Two of the three of us got pierced and the piercer wasn’t wearing gloves either. When we got pierced, the piercer didn’t sanitize any of our ears beforehand. It was affordable and quick, but a bit uncomfortable and sketchy!

I have many things to say about this place. I went here on April 15th and this was my first professional tattoo so I was unaware of how horrible they treated me and how poorly they dressed the tattoo until now; when I have another experience to compare it too.
My friend and I had an appointment but apparently it was not on the books, however, the artist Chuey had open time.
First off his customer service was terrible; when I told him my idea he scoffed at me. At this I almost walked out of the door since I was so embarrassed. But I knew I really wanted it so I went ahead.
Second, the entire time he did not talk to me but instead the piercer about his and his girlfriends onlyfans. I was very uncomfortable but I said nothing as Im was 18 and a new to this experience.
Lastly, he put Vaseline on the finished tattoo and wrapped it up in saran wrap and secured it with scotch tape. What?!?
I do want to say that he is a talented artist and I do like how the tattoo came out.
Overall, the people in this place were terrible. I left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable.

Original art is not a problem here, as it doesn't exist. Spend a few days waiting for them to trace whatever you bring in. Terrible experience.
10/10 will NEVER recommend.
Don't waste your deposit, don't waste your time. Unless you want to steal from another artist's work, then sure. Their tracing, and copy and paste skills are impeccable.
