"Black Velvet Tattoos is now taking walk-ins in our studio. Jason is booked on larger pieces out about 2-3weeks but can totally get small and medium pieces in pretty quick. Austin is available for walk-ins or appointments or piercings. Thomas our apprentice is taking appointments for small tattoos so he can get more experience. They are offered at a discounted rate and will be small pieces. So give us a call and let us create that next great piece."

I will always recommend Austin to anyone that asks about my tattoos. He has done 10 of my tattoos and I’ve also gotten piercings done by him. It’s always a good time getting new ink and he always does amazing work. Black Velvet is such a good environment. Austin, Jason, and Thomas are some of the coolest people I’ve ever met. 10/10 recommend always.

We came in an hour before close and Austin and his coworker were AMAZING! They fit us both (my husband and I) in and gave us exactly what we wanted. They never once rushed or made us feel bad for walking in. I appreciate the great service and I’m definitely coming back soon to get my nose piercing and my next tattoo!

Got in there took forever got my rook pierced he dropped the ball in my ear twice and had to get it out finally did. Wanted my conch pierced as well the piercer couldn’t get it and proceeded to tell me that he didn’t know what he was doing. Wow really?!?!? The tattoo artist came over and did the piercing in 10 seconds It hurts very badly at this point. I do not advise using this shop for piercings. This is unprofessional and just dangerous. Pretty much just paid to be in tons of pain. I’ve gotten a full spine tattoo and it did not hurt anywhere near as bad as this does!! It’s not ok!!

I would give the company 5 stars ⭐️ I love the shop & the artist but I recently had a bad experience due to Austin’s girlfriend constantly sitting inside the shop. He is my go to artist but his girlfriend rolled her eyes at me one night while me & my friend came in for tattoos.. my friend also noticed the shade we were getting from his girlfriend. It was honestly kind of scary the way she stared us down. He’s only trying to make a living, so for her to not understand that fully & be allowed to sit & stare at his female clients is very uncomfortable.. It’s really not that professional either.. As for now I’m not looking to get any new tattoos but I will probably look into a different shop for my next one! ❤️

Just left my appointment with Jason, he was super communicative and he took the reference picture I gave him and the small changes I wanted to make and ended up giving me by far my favorite tattoo yet. Fair price, great work, clean shop and super great/friendly artists! I've been tattooed by both Jason and Austin and will be returning to Black Velvet for all of my future work!
