Cobid restrictions in place. I was able to walk in and get my ears done, but tattoo's require appointments. Really great fun atmosphere. The piercer was gentle as could be and it was really quick. Excellent!

This was my first tattoo, although not my last! From the moment I walked in I knew I was in the best place. Roxanne was warm, carrying, trusting and I felt like I made my new friend. I'm ecstatic with my artwork! Thank you for sharing yourself with me and I'll see you soon!

I will absolutely be returning to Living Canvas! The place was clean and professional and everyone was so nice. Trent does great work, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in tattoos or body piercings. I can't wait to go back!

So I got a new tattoo yesterday, done by Pete. He did 5 others on me as well. Well yesterday he missed one small spot, (easily overlooked) I went in today and got an appointment to touch up that spot. The guy at the desk was so nice and helpful, I don't get how Living Canvas has bad reviews. I have never had a bad experience with them, ever. Best place in town! Just had to rant on negative reviews a little. 😁

Could hardly be happier or more satisfied with my visit to Living Canvas to get my very first tattoo. Since I am not a tattoo expert, I really don't know how this studio compares to other tattoo shops in the Columbia MO area, but if you are in COMO for a tattoo, your best bet is for sure Living Canvas in the downtown "District" area.

The staff are all professional, perfectionists in getting a tattoo just the way the customer wants it, know a lot about their work, and are all unique and interesting people. They really make you feel welcome and at home, even if you are a bit nervous about getting a tattoo.

"Fonzie" was the guy who did my tattoo and I stoutly recommend him. The tattooing process was not nearly as "painful" as a expected and the equipment they use is high quality. They also give you a guide on how to care for your tattoo to make it heal properly. I'm sure they are also good about piercings but I do not like piercings.

I will definitely be back in the near future for another tattoo!

Our experience at Living Canvas Tattoo was truly horrible. My daughter and I had planned a trip to Columbia, and one of the main goals of the trip was to get a tattoo. We researched tattoo places in the area, and decided this seemed like the best fit. However; when we arrived there, we were very disappointed in our decision. As soon as we got there, a man named "Fonzie" stepped up and kind of TOLD us he would be working on us, even though we already had our mind made up about who we wanted to see before we even arrived. We decided to go with it though, and told him what we were wanting. He was very pushy, forceful, and rude and made it very obvious he wasn't willing to work with us to make sure we were happy. He made rude remarks to the front desk person, Kyle, several times while we were standing there discussing. After about 10 minutes, both my daughter and I realized we were not comfortable with "Fonzie" and we asked another artist (Tommy) if he was available. He told us yes, but that he wouldn't speak to us since we were already talking to another artist. After about 20 minutes, my daughter and I knew this was not somewhere we felt comfortable getting something so permanent, and left. I would definitely not recommend Living Canvas to anyone. It was a horrible environment, it was dirty, and the staff was very negative. Overall, a horrible experience. Do not waste your time or money. We ended up going to Tattoo You, also in Columbia, and it was an AMAZING experience.

They are the rudest group of people I've met in their industry. I'm no novice in the subject as I have several tattoos covering my body. The condescending tone of the manager, along with the unsolicited opinions of the "artist", leads me to believe they don't want, or need, my money, loyalty or business. The "consult" that was scheduled a week in advance, took less than two minutes, and could have easily been done by email. I'd go anywhere else

Living Canvas provides excellent custom tattoos and the highest quality piercings. Their jewelry selection is the best in Mid-Missouri.

My wife and I have been extremely happy with the piercing experience at Living Canvas. Mike has been super helpful through a lost stud in the middle of the night to changing out new jewelry. He is Super professional and fun.

Good place for a smaller tattoo. First one I got there was with Chris and he was the man. It was ask my first tattoo and not only was he very cool and understanding, but talked to me the whole time and made sure I understood what to do in the after care process. The second one I got there was with Pete and he was not good. Was a simple tattoo yet he did an average at best job, with some ink veering outside the tattoo. He seemed to be much more worried about charging me before he even did the tattoo and was not friendly at all. Tried talking to him during the session but he never said a word and rushed through. Overall felt pretty uncomfortable with him but luckily it was a small tattoo so it wasn't a big deal. Most guys here are friendly but make sure you know who your artist is before you start. If you can, Chris was awesome. If it wasn't for him this would've gotten a 1 star. Saw someone else post about him so I thought I'd give my experience. Avoid Pete
