Paige and Matt are super welcoming and make the atmosphere very comfortable! I love both of their work! Paige has done 3 of my tattoos and they have turned out perfect! You definitely recommend this shop

After seeing the work Crimson tattoo dose I knew I wanted to get my tattoos done here. Matthew sat down with me, listened to my ideas, took what I wanted to heart, and came up with the perfect one of a kind tattoo I wanted. During the long sessions he took the time to make sure I needed a break to make sure I was comfortable. When you talk to Matthew you can tell that he loves what he does and strives to make every work of art perfect and personal for each client. It’s to bad this can only have five stars because I would totally crank it up to eleven.

My daughter and I went to Crimson Tattoo today to get a Mother/Daughter tattoo. It was my 18 year olds first tattoo and she was a bit scared. Matthew and Paige (my daughter's tattoo artist) were awesome. They were so genuine and kind. The artistry is beautiful. Thank you so much Crimson Tattoo, we'll be back.

The tattoos you see in this picture were original drawings that Matthew, the proprietor of Crimson Tattoo, created from inspiration material that I provided. The level of precision, creativity, detail, and professionalism that Matthew brings to a piece is unparalleled. His studio is immaculate, well thought out, and incredibly welcoming. I cannot recommend Matthew and his studio strongly enough.

Paige is an absolute artist when it comes to traditional style tattoos! She is very fast and extremely accurate with her translation from what I had in my head it to what actually went on my arm. My husband and I were both very pleased with her work. Extremely well priced. Honestly I would’ve paid her more !

Amazing shop. The vibe is very down to earth, everyone there is an instant friend and showcase incredible artistic talent. Best shop for those looking for a professional environment in which the artist cares about the longevity and visual appeal of the art. Wish I lived closer to benefit more from this gem! My sleeve I've received from Matthew Crim is complemented on every where I go, including other highly successful artists. I'm grateful to have it on my body!

Matthew Crim is not only one of the best artists around, he’s also one of the coolest guys you’ll ever meet! A true craftsman in his field with an impressive knowledge and skill in all styles of tattooing. Highly recommend checking out his shop and taking home some fresh ink.

Matthew, was by far the most professional artist I have worked with. The studio was clean and open. Very comfortable. I will be referring him to a friend and plan to come back. He does great work and the experience was enjoyable.

This is more of a review of Matthew Crim than it is of Crimson, as I have not had a chance to visit since Matthew left Windhorse to start this shop. All I can say is that Matthew is one of the most honest and down to earth people I've met, in addition to being a great artist. His skill in dotwork/stipple tattooing is fantastic, and can be used to create a wonderfully "illustrated" sort of look that you'd find in old encyclopedias (not to say it doesn't accomplish much more as well, this is simply the reasoning I chose Matthew).

On top of the exceptional work he performed, Matthew refused to accept the amount of a tip that I attempted to give him, stating that it was far too much. This sort of behavior shows Matthew's true commitment lies with his art, and not simply in making money.

All in all, I couldn't be happier to have been tattooed by Matthew, and am glad to see him opening his own shop. If my experience with him is an indicator or how this shop as a whole will be, I foresee Crimson becoming a mainstay in Kansas City. Hopefully our paths will cross again.
