After having another shop in St. Louis flake out on appointments we had scheduled weeks prior, we walked right in to Trader Bob's and not only was the lady at the front desk friendly and welcoming, we were worked in within 20 minutes. My tattoo artist's name was Dave and I'm still amazed that he was able to produce exactly what I wanted with such short notice. It came out perfectly and he does great work. I would highly recommend Trader Bob's to anyone and already have. Great place and I'll definitely be back!

Good place, kind of a tight fit but it works pretty well. Everyone is super nice and definitely make you feel comfortable. The wife and I went in for matching tattoos, Joey was our tattoer and did a great job making my wife feel comfortable and was super nice. Took our ideas and made a great piece. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that in my wides tattoo some of the lines look to have gotten away from him. After it heals I may need to make an apt for a touch up to get a few things lined out but other that that I would return in the future

After getting turned away at another tattoo parlor for having "no availability all day", I called Trader Bob's and they told me to come on over! The staff were all incredibly friendly and patient. My friend was getting a tattoo for the first time, so I am so happy that they took the time to make her comfortable and walk her through the entire process. Our tattoos came out fantastic and it took no time at all to get it done. We literally walked in and met with our artists within minutes. We'll definitely be coming back here for any future tattoos and recommending it to others!

Had a small piece done at the end of October. It was my first tattoo. I had thought about the design and placement but actually going to get it was spur of the moment. I was on my own with no appointment. The artist was very friendly, talented, and sociable. He offered me a break, but he was smooth enough that the break wasn't needed. He made my first tattoo a great experience. I'd gladly go back.

It started with a misleading phone call on their walk in policy. Strike 1.
The receptionist is extremely stern and cold. No TV, no snack and no fun allowed while you wait for your tattoo. Strike 2.
The tattoo artist was very expensive. I have 3/4 of my body inked and I've been everywhere. This place is expensive. Strike3.
The artist would not tattoo up my neck even though the back of my neck and behind my ear I'd already inked and again I'm almost totally covered. Strike out!
So, no fun, bad atmosphere, no music playing, super expensive.

All the fellas here do some amazing work, so you really can't go wrong. They are really big on walk-ins, but some of the guys have special days for appointments, and pretty much all of them are willing to work with you on bigger pieces that may need multiple sessions to actually finish.
Anyway...this place is awesome, from the uniqueness of the shop, to the friendly and helpful and extremely talented artists, I would say this is the first place to check out if you're looking to get a new tattoo.
