Trader Bob's is a genuine St Louis institution. Seriously, as they say 'your gramma probably got a tattoo there". Ryan did some work on my wife and it looks exactly like the art she brought in. We're very pleased and there's a good reason why we took an hour to travel there with that express purpose. Thanks Ryan and nice receptionist lady (whose name I didn't get,sorry).

I've gotten tattoos here and at Iron Age and I can confirm 100% that I would choose Trader Bob's every single time. I am probably the worst client in terms of decisiveness and being able to explain what i want. The people are friendly (as long as you're friendly to them, i have seen some extremely rude customers) and will happily work on anyone from young college kids getting their first piece to middle aged guys who already nearly covered from head to toe. If you have a friend or family member that has some negative stereotypes, bring them to meet the people here.

I just got a tattoo last night. I went in and had it done with Patience. There was a slight confusion on her hours, because she was getting ready to leave. But she actually stayed and did mine and another lady's. This was my first one and she was so graceful and gentle (well as gentle as you can be). And she just instilled so much confidence in my choice, despite my friends indecisiveness. Even the guy at the front Travis, was super supportive. Only reason, I'm not giving full stars is that contacting after was hard. I've been to Cheap Trx for piercings, before and they really encouraged me to add them on Facebook and even gave their cells to make sure I felt confident and safe my first night home. I'm not sure if that's the norm or what, but I felt super spoiled. I went to Walmart to buy supplies and ended up getting the advice from tatted employee and the internet. :/
But all in all for a customized rib tattoo she made it one of the best and affordable and welcoming experiences. I'd definitely return to Patience, and Trader Bob's again.

Went in about 2 weeks ago to get my Supergirl tatt, which was done by Andy, and it turned out amazing. All the artist there came by to compliment my choice and Andy's work, everyone was very sweet and super cool! Andy was very friendly while concentrating on giving me the best tatt! And the price was about $200 less than I was quoted at other places in the area! I will be back soon!
