I came to Jake a couple months ago when I decided it was finally time to cover up a bad koi fish tattoo that I had on my upper right arm. After researching through numerous other artist's pages in the Montana area I finally found Jake and knew right away I wanted him to be my artist. The amount of detail that he is able to get in a tattoo is insane! Jake is extremely passionate about his work. He is constantly working and studying his craft, always looking for ways to improve himself.
When you go to Jake for your tattoo he gives you a list of questions to answer regarding what you are looking for in your tattoo and what it means to you. This helps him get an excellent idea of exactly what it is you want, and not many artists take that kind of interest in your piece.
Jake sketched up an amazing Koi fish for me and I was so excited to get it put on my arm. FINALLY! A tattoo that I can be proud of and show off. I wish I would have found him when I decided to originally get the tattoo. Unfortunately I originally settled for a cheap artist who just did not quite capture what I was looking for in the tattoo, probably because he never asked!
So if you are serious about getting a piece of art on your body, Jake is the guy to go to. Don't make my mistake and settle for a cheap artist who uses the same stencils over and over for work. You get what you pay for. Remember, your tattoo will be on your body forever so why would you want to cheap out on it?
P.S: I received more compliments on this new tattoo when it was only half done with just the black ink than I ever did on my original tattoo.
