Altered Skin Tattoo & Body Piercing

Very poor and unprofessional experience. Friend scheduled a tattoo appointment for both of us to get small line tattoos, the woman booking the appointment failed to tell us it was with an apprentice and we only find out when we get there and after putting down a deposit. The entire process took, I kid you not, THREE hours for two small line tattoos. Artist seemed nervous and unsure of what he was doing, I have several tattoos and none of my experiences have been this off-putting. Aftercare instructions were completely ill-informed, the artist didn't even put the stencil on correctly (he asked me to hold my arm at an angle instead of have it fully relaxed? What??), and the tattoo unsurprisingly turned out poorly. Line work is patchy and uneven. Overall a very negative experience. Will not ever be coming back and will be telling everyone I know to go elsewhere.

I had my septum pierced by Trinitey and she was wonderful. Made me feel super comfortable and was quick. Not as painful as I was expecting because of how skilled she is.

Brenda and Trini did an amazing job with my daughters first piercings today. They're amazing people.

Very courteous and helpful front desk, felt very welcomed into the shop. Knowledgeable and informative, would return at any time for any work to be done!

I’ve been here twice now. Both not great experiences. The first time, I came in to get new tragus jewelry for my newer piercing because the jewelry I had in fell out. I picked out my jewelry and up till then it was fine. When I got back, the woman was not very careful about not hurting me. I tried to make conversation and she wouldn’t participate which is fine, I understand that it takes a lot of focus. It felt like she was trying to go as fast as possible and get me out I just felt not taken care of. I decided to give them another chance and got a helix piercing for my birthday. The piercer again, went really fast, didn’t give me warning before she pierced and wasn’t gentle. I won’t be going back. I highly recommend painless steel for piercings. Please don’t go to this place, they make no effort to make you feel taken care of. Also super overpriced I think I paid close to $80 for a helix piercing with a simple piece of jewelry.

On November 26th My Wife And I Traveling From Billings To Visit Family Decided To Stop At Altered, We Have Used This Shop Before, (For Tattoo’s Where It Was Good Service And Fair Pricing.) However This Time She Just Wanted A New Piece Of Jewelry For Her Ear… (The Silver Piece In The Middle Ear In Picture.) She Picked It Out Asking The Attendent For Pricing Because The Jewelry Wasnt Price Labeled.. Or If There Was Any Sales, When We Where Told No That Only Piercings Would Be On Sale Today! Then The Attendant Strayed Off Topic Saying Would You Like Help Putting The Jewelry In.. Looking Back I See The “Scheme” Now Because It Got Us Off The Topic Of Price And Honestly Seemed Like She Was Trying To Be Nice! So After The Help By The Piercer Who Bashed Another Business Where We Are From Because We Didnt Get The Piercing Done There.? My Wife Came Out Instantly Unhappy Stating She Didnt Like The Jewelry. They Then Proceeded To Say Thats 50$ For The 1 Piece Of Cubic Zarconia Jewelry And We Were Baffled. My Wife Instantly Stated Why Didnt You Tell Me The Price When I Asked I Would Never Pay 50$ For One Piece Of Earring Jewelry. The Attendant Said We Wont Take It Back Because Its In Your Ear. Going Back To What I Said Earlier About The Scheme, That’s When I Realized What Happened, She Acted Nice, “Offering Help” To Get Us Of The Topic Of Price, While At The Same Time “Secretly” Locking Us Into Buying The Dainty/Cheap OVERPRICED Jewelry. And I Know This Is What Happened Because The Whole Time My Wife Was Being Helped, The Attendant Was Relentlessly Asking Me If I Was Gonna Be Pierced, Not Even Allowing Me Time To Think If I Wanted To Make A Decision To Get Pierced By Myself. So If I Where To Recommend Anyone For A Piercing/Body Modification.. I Would Highly Recommend AGAINST Using This Shop. I Feel Highly Taken Advantage Of. As Well As I Feel Like They Use Unethical Tactics Of Point-Of-Sale. I Believe They Should Label There Jewelry Pricing More Accurately/Honestly Along With Honestly Answering Customers Questions, And Stop Doing Whatever You Have To, Too Secure A Sale Or Business From Any Customer. I Understand Times Are Hard For Brick And Mortars And Prices Are Going Up Globally But Taking Advantage Of Valuable Customers And There Hard Earned Dollars Is Highly Frowned Upon In My Book. First tattoo today and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Staff was above and beyond in their professionalism and talent. Ive already made the appointment for my next tattoo. Highly recommend to anyone!

Absolutely love it here! I had an appointment for 12:30 to get vertical labret (pictured). And this (the picture) is only day 2, it’s healing and doing AMAZING already. Anyway, I was running late because roads were worse than I expected, I called, let them know and they were so understanding and kind. Even said they were glad I made it there safe. I’m so upset at myself for not getting the piercers name. But I will for sure for any future piercings. I’ve never had a piercing done so quickly, painlessly and just comfortably overall. It was so welcoming. My piercer was fast yet efficient. I highly recommend and I am even switching from my regular piercer to here now. Great advice, great service, great people, great vibes.

I wouldn't recommend this place for piercings. Over priced jewelry, being rushed, piercings left unclean and blood chunks in your hair and around your piercings. Dried blood left on your skin. Piercer not giving good advice, and extremely rough. Downsizing was extremely painful and expensive.Definitely been to better piercers whom I trust and who care about their clients and are professional and do a good job. My second lobe that had to be redone because it was crooked the first time was pierced with a different needle than my other lobe piercing. Also, their jewelry prices aren't listed so make sure you ask before it's in your ear. Make sure the correct jewelry is in your piercings because they will let you put anything in your fresh piercing. After downsizing, I wasn't given the sizes that I was downsized too, so I am not sure the correct jewelry size to buy after they fully heal.

Came here for a septum piercing and they took me as a walk in! The piercer was super efficient and kind. Definitely recommend!
