The tattoo process itself was fine. I got a decent size leg piece from Gina, and loved it, but she missed details I really wanted in there, and I mentioned it twice and she still missed it. Then, I called recently to try to get it touched up and because it has been longer than 90 days that it was going to cost the shop minimum to fix. I was never informed I only had 90 days to get a touch up in any way. That is bull. Stand by your work people.

*EDIT* Three weeks later I’m having extreme problems with both piercings being infected. Since it’s so swollen I go into a piercing shop here(NC)and ask them to change out the jewelry of the top piercing for me for one with a longer post to accommodate the swelling. When they do their piercer mentions that it appears the jewelry gauge is smaller than the hole, that is my Painless piercer used one gauge needle and then put in smaller jewelry after she pierced. The NC piercer says this contributed to the infection and messed up the healing process. I checked the second piercing and the gauge was wrong on it also, and a quick google search confirmed what my piercer here said. I’m not sure why the piercer at painless steel used smaller jewelry but it put me through a lot of pain and grief from the infection and having to have my jewelry switched out before it was fully healed. I ended up having to get antibiotics at the doctor to control the infection. Normally I would never go anywhere else in Missoula but after this happened I’m hesitant to go back the painless.
Had two piercings done by Tristn today. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Very happy with my experience, and my piercings look great! Painless Steel never disappoints!

DO NOT GO HERE. My boyfriend got his tongue pierced here and the piercing is not in the center it is way to the left. They gave him a bar that was way to small so his tongue was tight against the balls with swelling. It is in the center at the bottom and goes way left. Then we had to pay $10 for the mouth wash solution when other places will give it to you with the piercing. I'm so ashamed of myself for taking him here. I got mine done at altered skin and they did amazing. So moral of the story do not get your tongue pierced here.

tried charging $120 for a simple set of earrings and the peircing??????????? the lady at the front that helped me out, was very snarky, rude and just plane unhappy. It made me super uncomfortable as a customer to see be helped by someone so rude and disrespectful.

The woman was very prejudice towards us because we were Native American and had a few questions about prices! Tristan was the name of the lady she is highly unprofessional and incredibly rude! I recommend not to ever go here!

Have been here for both piercings and tattoos. Trist'n is AMAZINGGGGG. So personable and friendly. We geeked out over Star Trek and just awesome stuff. Seriously love her and will always come to her with my piercing needs, and recommend her to all of my friends. Recently had Cyrus do a moth tattoo for me and he absolutely kicked ass with it. He took a relative idea I had, and I allowed him some creative license, & he did not disappoint! I will definitely be back for more work from him. I've been to a few other shops around Missoula, but I always end up coming back to Painless Steel. ❤

Very friendly piercer and gal working the counter! I was pleasantly surprised as most the time, the women working here are beyond snotty. After my visit I learned that the owner is a convicted child molester-so this shop will NEVER get my business again.
