So. I did a thing awhile back. I got a new tattoo. There were several things that happened during my interaction with this particular shop leading up to the below image. I just wanted to share my experience!
First, I impulsively decided to get a tattoo and sent the design without notice to a shop that I just googled. The artist who contacted me when I requested a session, Nichole, drew it up overnight, sent it to me for approval the next day, and then was ready for our appointment the following day.
Second, James (maybe the owner, I can't remember) had his son at the shop and Nichole asked if he could write K's name in his own handwriting for this tattoo as K was not with me when I decided to get it. It was a special touch to this tattoo and I thank him greatly for being such a wonderful kid. I think maybe an artist in the making!
Third, when Nichole was drawing and coloring the design, she mentioned how difficult it was to not draw it with straight, perfect lines as normal and stay inside the lines when coloring it. But, I wanted it to be just as if K had drawn the picture and she nailed it! As a tattoo artist, perfection is of the utmost importance and I am sure I tested her abilities that day!
This piece had special meaning to me when I decided to get it and now has even more special meaning.
I am in love with my new piece and highly recommend Nichole Haszard at Inkzhibit for your next appointment! I cannot vouch for the other artists who work there and their abilities, but they helped create this tattoo and I am certain they are just as talented as Nichole!
