I came here for my first tattoo on a spur of the moment vegas trip. I came in hoping they would fulfill my fine line tattoo dreams and I couldn’t be happier with what I got. Although the tattoos were small, and to most people painless, I began to feel like I was about to faint. I was given soda by my tattooist (wish I could
remember his name) and skittles by a purple haired angel. The amount of care that not only went into my tattoo but my well being, this place deserves more than 5 stars. If you want great tattoos at a great price and with some 5 star hospitality on top, this is the place to go. Thanks guys, seriously.

My mom and I went into the shop and had the pleasure of getting tatted by Justina! She was so patient and understanding because we were nervous, it was our first tattoo. We loved it! This shop also does piercings. My mom got a nose piercing from Justina as well! Great experience!!

I've had this tattoo for a few weeks now and couldn't be more in love with the results. If you're looking for a tattoo shop that is on the strip but you don't want to sacrifice your firstborn to pay for it, The strat tattoo shop was a pretty good place to be. Highly recommend Leo and Davi. 💪🔥👊

My husband and I are small town people and stayed at the Strat. Once I learned there was a tattoo studio in our hotel I had to go check it out and wasn't disappointed. I was expecting prices to be extremely high and work to be extremely average. (I admit I have plenty of poor to average tattooing- so I know it well 😅) Even tho I'm probably an obvious tourist I was treated kindly and quoted a fair price. The tattoo I received exceeded expectations. Davi was super nice and was also able to tell me about the artist who did the original artwork I chose to be tattooed, a piece by Norman Collins aka Sailor Jerry, and his apprentice Shanghai Kate. I love traditional tattoo, am a boater, and am proud to wear this piece.
At this point about half my skin is tattooed and Davi has literally the softest touch I've ever experienced (granted, my lower calf isn't the touchiest area but still- literally painless at most points- my ADHD compelling me to move around was the worst part- and may I say that he was very patient and accommodating!) and my tattoo has healed in very well. In all honesty I went in expecting to be ripped off due to prices for things in general in Vegas, but instead I got a memento that makes me smile every time I see it.
I don't leave reviews. Where I spend my money is nobody's business and I don't like the culture that "leave ALL the reviews!!" encourages. I don't want to leave a photo for privacy concerns but am considering it- this place legitimately blew me away.
If I'm ever back in town I will 100% hit them up for another great piece. I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much 😊

Ship and anchor is a great shop. The artists are very knowledgeable and friendly. Davi did my tattoo and I love it. He was professional and very knowledgeable about the history of tattoo and knows how to many different styles. Highly recommend!

I was in Vegas and wanted to get a tattoo. I was staying at the Strat so I just went to ship and anchor. I got a super simple tattoo, a j with a small heart. My assumption was it was such a simple tattoo it would be pretty hard to mess up. I was wrong to assume. Mikey was my tattoo artist. I noticed the lines were not at all straight and even questioned the lines. I was assured once the swelling went down the lines would straighten out. They have not and they will not, it’s a poorly done tattoo. Not only is it poorly done, Mikey didn’t even know his own work was poorly done. It’s something that could’ve been fixed when I asked had he known his own work wasn’t straight. I don’t normally write reviews but thought this should be said considering tattoos are permanent. Not at all impressed

I can't say enough about this place! We were staying at The Strat and found it while walking around the hotel. Leo V. was my artist and I absolutely loved the end result. I brought in a picture that I'd put together of different designs I found online and Leo cleaned it up and added in the semicolon I wanted.
There is a minimum $100 spend regardless of the size or complexity of your piece.
In addition to the tattoo, I also got my nose and tragus pierced by Leo.

I was going to Vegas on vacation and wanted to get a tattoo while I was there. I had been speaking with the manager,Sindy about a month before I got there. She was amazing in helping me set up my appointment, put me with an artist that specializes in the type of tattoo I wanted . The shop was super clean and the artists were so friendly. My work was done by Leo and I cannot day enough good things about his work!!! I absolutely love my tattoo.
