Really nice shop. Staff was friendly and helpful in figuring out design and placement, professional in doing the work, and provided clear instructions for care. I would definitely get another tattoo done here.

My multiple visits to this breath taking authentic tattoo establishment have every single time been the highlight of my existence the artists here are filled to the gills with extreme talent and profound creativity each artist is very different in many ways but also are all dynamically brilliant each with there own personality that makes the experience here so enjoyable and exciting from the wall to wall flash of new school and old school tattoos hidden gems are all throughout the shop even in there well maintained bathroom insperation is in every step around each artists station are always an impeccable presentation standard true masters of their craft I highly recommend letting the artists assist you on your design suggestions as they know much more then we do and that's proven time and time again they take every step to make the best outcome for your new tattoo or tattoos (tattoos are best in pairs) shouts out to Andrew Bryan Bill and Rob for always making a comfortable therapeutic atmosphere its a great place for your first tattoo or your hundredth with your best friend, family members, or just wanna kick up your feet and let the artists work there magic is always a great decision special shouts out to Keith for always keeping the shop in tiptop shape and also taking countless steps to ensure the artists have the tools and necessitys they need at the ready and also is very diligent on his journey to become a well educated and established apprentice I believe learning from these master of crafts in this shop will undoubtedly insure success and large understanding of what it means to be a true master of the arts not just tattooing but a true eye for esthetics and individuality looking forward to visiting again appointments are appreciated walk ins are also always quick and easy process but phone calls ahead will insure available artists readability each vist is always hard for me to get out of there cause I never wanna leave

Husband got a tattoo here. Adam was very professional and down to earth. He did an awesome job on my husbands coverup tattoo. My husband did ask for the reapers hood to be brought down some which Adam said he would do but he figured we could always go back to fix it up. Be prepared to hike up a few flight of stairs as this is on, to my knowledge, the third or forth floor Which isn’t too bad. It’s not very clean in the tattoo shop. They have statues hanging around their areas that are caked with dust and grim. The bathroom/storage room wasn’t clean at all. So the Atmosphere was kind of dirty but Adam was awesome and my husband was very satisfied with his tattoo. We would probably follow Adam to whatever location he worked to have work done by him. I’m sure the other guys are great but Adam was cool.

The whole shop was very professional and clean. Brian did the fish on my leg! He did such a fantastic job and really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I get compliments almost every day and i always refer them to Anchor! Thanks for the great tattoo Brian, will absolutely be back again.

Easily a 5 star experience and a top notch tattoo. It’s a great shop everyone makes you feel welcome. I’ve had two tattoos done by Erik. Can’t go wrong

Awesome time, awesome tats, awesome people! Really cool flash hung up all over the walls. Most tattoo shops have a weird tough guy vibe but Anchor really knows how to make you weep welcomed at appreciated!

Tattoo artist tried to fight me cause he tatted a terrible tattoo on me that I have to live with the rest of my life. I look at it and it hurts my stomach. I told him how bad it was and how it was nothing like what I asked for and he kicked me out the shop told me to never come back and if I did he would beat me up. Everyday I wake up and look at this terrible tattoo and reminds me of this horrid experience. Little kids running this shop with little to no tattoo experience besides Eric.

Best tattoos in central jersey …hands down the best around… if you knew better you’d do better …. So now you know …can’t say I didn’t tell you so…don’t meet me there beat me there…

Such a rad group of tattoo artists. Have gotten many tattoos at this shop over the years and I have yet to be disappointed. 10/10 recommend.

Let me start this off by saying I NEVER write reviews, but I definitely will for this place. I came in for a walk in last night and Tim was the tattoo artist to help me out, he had previously done an om sign for me (which was also perfect) and I was happy to see him! I was getting a butterfly tattoo and thought I wanted my placement on my shoulder, Tim moved the stencil for me 3 TIMES until I thought I liked it and then sat down to tattoo me, only for me to chicken out and tell him I wanted it on my thigh instead. He didn’t even blink. He just said “Okay! Let’s do it!”, prepped my thigh for my tattoo, and moved THAT stencil a couple times for me too. When I came in for my om sign two years ago I was also picky about placement and he kept the same energy, so kind and patient with me, and told me I had no reason to say sorry. I ended up with an AMAZING monarch butterfly tattoo, and an even bigger appreciation for this shop that I had already been to two times before. Anchor Tattoo makes you feel welcome and so comfortable with your tattoo experience and I am SO HAPPY I came here again. I know there plenty of people like me who rely on reviews to pick places to go, y’all - you will not regret coming here. Such amazing staff, ESPECIALLY TIM!
