Addictive Ink Tattoos (The Original)

To those defending to woman policy, to each their own. But don’t pretend to not tattoo people because you want to honor God. If honoring God was your concern you wouldn’t be tattooing people at all. These are supposed to be professionals. They should be able to view what ever area they are working on as a canvas and then put a tattoo on it that is precise, beautiful, and flows with that area of the body. Instead of being professional they are being perverse and sexualizing the majority of the female body. I’m so thankful(despite their site not being user friendly) I was able to find this policy and not show up to their establishment-I wanted to see if they had any artist other than David who’s portfolio is on the site to possibly do a coverup. Given the extent to which this shop and these men sexualize woman I would highly advise woman go elsewhere for safety reasons. They can cover their woman policy in the pretty ribbons and sparkles they want. It’s not about God-if they were they wouldn’t be tattooing, and it’s not about only your husband should touch your low back or lower thigh(if this were the case the same would apply to female artist with men) it is that they simply over sexualize woman who expect professional competent artists. Something you won’t find here.

I have gotten a couple of tattoos from Dave. I came in with general ideas and he turned them into works of art. I continuously get compliments on how beautiful and colorful my tattoos are. I’m getting another one next week and I’m excited to see how it turns out. I took my son to Dave for his first tattoo and he absolutely loves it! For those complaining about their Women’s policy, let me explain. Dave and Brian are kind, courteous, very talented, professional, and wholeheartedly believe in respecting women. They want to respect their wives and their female clients by not looking at or touching women in places they feel should be reserved for their husbands. They aren’t trying to discriminate against anyone, they’re respecting the women in their lives and their clients. I respect them more for having morals and values and sticking to them.

I was visiting the area and decided to look up some places to get a new tattoo. I often get new ones when I travel, just for fun and so far have 3 from my travels. I looked up addictive ink's website and was in shock that they have "Women's Policy" so boldly on their web page. After reading it I felt like I was watching an episode of the handmaid's tail. They will only tattoo certain parts of women's limbs because the rest of the body is for their husband. First of all, I'm gay and have a wife and second there goes my upper back tattoo. This is the most backwards policy I've ever run into. I decided to drop the idea all together since this is no trip I'd like to remember.

I’ve had multiple tattoos in my life from other artists. I came to Dave @ Addictive ink and will never go anywhere else! The level of professionalism is great! 2-3 years later my ink is still getting complimented everyplace I go. Award winning at the recent NM tattoo expo. One took first another took second. David and Brian are not only amazing artist they are great people. If you just want a tattoo go elsewhere. If you want a great tattoo go here!!

My brother and my mom got tattoos from David and they are 10/10 they are amazing if you are considering going here you should definitely go here. You’re tattoo will come out great and you will love your tattoo.

The people at addictive ink are amazing! David is working on a really big piece for me and he is doing an amazing job. Everywhere i go i get compliments on how great my tattoo is coming out. The detail is amazing and David takes pride in his work as well as in his shop. It really shows in the work he does.

Can't support a business for hypocrisy. You say you will only work on women on certain areas of the body because of god or whatever. Yet in the bible doesn't it also state that inking your body is a sin?

This parlor features openly misogynistic and discriminatory policies on their website. They refuse to tattoo almost all parts of a woman's body because it belongs to her husband.
