i have gotten all 4 of my tattoos so far done by joel who did an amazing job. he was super nice and made it an awesome experience! all my tattoos have come out a million times better than i thought they would and he makes sure you’re happy while he’s doing it! i would highly recommend pure image for anyone looking for some ink, you will not be disappointed! truly amazing work and a great environment

If you want an artist who has one kick-ass portfolio, is experienced, and has an eye for pure perfection, then this is your place. Joel is really serious about originality, and is amazing at font (lettering). I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants a quality tattoo. He does amazing portraits, and loves doing originals. I wish I had more time to get tattooed by Joel- he is one of those artists you don't find often. Clean shop, and really comfortable ambiance; not intimidating, or busy. Somewhere to relax! 5 STARS all the way.

Just had a redesign of a tattoo that I love the meaning behind it, but was done half-a**ed by another shop 7 years ago. Joel is amazing! One helluva artist, he was patient as I went thru tons of design options with him over a 3 week period and he ultimately created a colorful design he knew I would love & it came out looking simply amazing. Place is clean & sanitary, atmosphere is private & Joel is friendly, engaging & fun overall. You can't go wrong at Pure Image. Absolutely recommend - this is the only place where your ink should come from!

Was a spontaneous decision with friends to go to get my next tattoo over the Thanksgiving holiday in this cozy shop in Fairport. Joel was friendly, accommodating, patient, precise and professional. He took his time to make sure I/we were satisfied. Loved the decor and the stories behind them. He was able to fit 3 of us in to his day (2 tattoos and a double cartilage piercing) and deliver a positive experience for all. He's a Very talented artist. Would be happy to return again (from Boston) for my next piece. Talking about doing a larger cover up job. Thank you Joel! I LOVE IT! Awesome experience! They were so kind and welcoming from the moment I stepped in the door. I had a pretty irritated piercing that I needed guidance with in terms of care/needed taken out and Joel was extremely gentle and helpful with it all. Took my sister there for her 18th birthday present for a belly button peircing... they were super professional , friendly staff... clean. They were great with explaining everything as they were doing it and with the after care. I will be back for myself. Highly recommend

Joel is very professional, and brings a warm welcome when you enter his shop. Set you at ease when you sit in his chair to get a tattoo. His work is very good and has a very light hand. I mean by that is that the pain level is Minimal . I would recommend him to anybody for any tattoos or piercing.
