Tried & True Tattoo: A Mixed Bag of Reviews
Tried & True Tattoo is a tattoo shop located in Wynantskill, New York. The shop offers tattoo and piercing services, and has been reviewed by a number of customers. The reviews are mixed, with some customers having positive experiences and others having negative experiences.
Some customers have praised the shop for its talented artists. One reviewer wrote, "Mike and Mitch are great," while another said, "Dave Tatum is the best tattoo artist I have ever watched work. He has mad skills with ink." Another customer said, "John was awesome to discuss getting what I want done. And busy schedule so you know they're great at their jobs. Can't wait to get mine done later this month!"
However, other customers have had negative experiences at Tried & True Tattoo. One reviewer wrote, "Absolutely obnoxious tattoo artist. Went as far as to lecture me and tell me that once u reach a certain age ur too old to get periced and too old for other things.....im only 32." Another customer said, "Kinda disappointed spent $100 on an unfinished outline because the guy was annoyed and you could tell. Now have an unfinished outline and have to go back. I may not."
One customer complained about the shop's piercings, saying, "They lied on their website about having a piercer with 15 years of experience, in the piercings tab of their website. We were told they only said they do piercings to have LLC status, and that we should call before going in."
Overall, Tried & True Tattoo seems to be a mixed bag. While some customers have had positive experiences with the shop's talented artists, others have had negative experiences with rude or unprofessional staff. If you're considering getting a tattoo or piercing at Tried & True Tattoo, it may be worth reading through the reviews to get a sense of what to expect.

The tattoo artists are amazing. The owner Mitch is extremely nice. They treat you very well while you are there. They aren't snobby or arrogant or treat you like your nothing which I've had to deal with with the more local tattooing businesses in my area.

They lied on their website about having a piercer with 15 years of experience, in the piercings tab of their website. They said they accept walk in piercings, so we walked in. We were told they only said they do piercings to have LLC status, and that we should call before going in.

Mitch is an amazing artist, he has a good heart and great outlook on life. So happy that he has his own shop. I have 9 tattoos from Mitch and they're all magnificent.

Clean, talented, knowledgeable , experienced professional studio with competitive pricing for quality artwork, that in addition to tattooing also offers private on premise sterile body piercing. The location directly on the Main road offers ample parking as well as a private area for the discreet.
In my numerous experiences here I've consistently witnessed any range of individuals regardless of having work done here, in the process of, or never at all by any of the Artists receive an equal level of respect, artistic input and sincerity for both potential clients inquiring about work to frequent supporters.
Looking forward to my next appointment!

Absolutely obnoxious tattoo artist. Went as far as to lecture me and tell me that once u reach a certain age ur too old to get periced and too old for other things.....im only 32 . Also I was getting my breast tattooed and he had his " buddies" come in and stand around me .....no privacy whatsoever. When I first came there I explained I wanted a dull length body tat mostly of flowers but I wanted to start it on my chest with a cover up..... he was okay with the idea at the time but after the 1st rose his interest started to decline as he would as me often when I came in ....' oh another flower " repeatedly. And then proceeded to go on and on about how he prefers darker themed tats and how anything else is boring blah blah blah . If he didn't wanna do my tattoo he could have just said that . I left after the next 2 flowers because he completely didn't listen messed them up , got upset when I didn't like what he came up with and asked him to change it and I specifically told him I didn't want white lines bt he still added them in and said he knew they would look better ..... they didn't and he had to go in after and change it. Also refused to give the types of petals I wanted because the " dnt match the flowers and his tattoos have to be as real as possible " .....BRO it's nit ur body!!! SO GLAD I LEFT !!!!! And found someone who actually listens.
