Love my experiences here! You need an appointment, you can't just show up. Because of this, you have your professional's undivided attention whether you are getting a tattoo or a piercing. Shop is incredibly clean. You have to wear a mask regardless of mandates. These ladies don't play with health and safety. That's exactly the mentality that sets them apart. Specialized attention, safe and respectful atmosphere (but not boring 😉), and completely unapologetic about doing what is best for the well-being of their staff and customers. High quality work and high quality supplies. They've been an Asheville go-to for a long time for a reason. 1000% recommend.

Jen and Heather are some of the best artists I know! They take their work very seriously and do an amazing job. I’ve always had good outcomes with my piercings and every time they have been so welcoming and make the process super easy! I totally recommend them for any piercing or tattoo needs!

I don't even know how to properly describe how amazing Jen is but I will try because she deserves ALL the hype. I got a conch and helix piercing. I was nervous, especially for the conch. Jen made me feel comfortable, informed, affirmed, and like I want to be her best friend all at once. She went above and beyond talking to me, making me feel safe, I never once felt judged or dumb or rushed for being nervous.

Jen walked me through breathing, was quick and efficient, and made the process fun. If you're someone like me who always feels *not cool enough to be here* when you go to a tattoo or piercing shop, I can promise you, you won't feel that way at Man's Ruin. The most professional people, cleanest/safest environment, and people who make you feel like you're hanging out with friends. I'm blown away! Jen is by far the best piercer and practitioner of just making people smile and feel better about themselves. She's a bright shining light in this town and is making a true impact in people's lives. I know the confidence and warmth I felt today will stay with me forever.

The jewelry selection is extensive and all implant grade. If you've never gotten pierced with something more than the silver stuff you have to twirl and takes 6+ months to heal then you're in for a treat. Plus the aftercare advice and instructions are thoughtful and smart.

I wouldn't trust anyone else with piercings. Jen's extensive knowledge, professionalism, passion for their craft, and warmth are unmatched.

Got my septum pierced here and it was great. Jenn is a cool person who really knows her stuff. Nearly painless, perfectly straight piercing (and my nose is tiny! So kudos) good sterilization techniques, and fun banter too. Highly recommended.

I have always wanted my ear cartilage pierced. I was nervous about it though as my last piercing was at a mall accessories shop 20 years prior. Jenn was friendly, patient and kind. Every step of the process was explained from the pre-cleaning right up to the after care. I found the piercing painless! I highly recommend these ladies.

Simply put Man’s Ruin is the best place I’ve been to have holes punched in my head and ink put in skin! Ms Jen is as krazy a human as she is awesome and I love her for it! She’s as real as they come and as professional as it gets, and Ms Heather put together a tattoo for my wife and I that we loved! She is simply amazing in her craft and a uniquely awesome lady to boot! I can honestly say I’ve never felt more welcome than with them! I got a piercing at mans ruin a while ago. Jenn and Heather are very professional and awesome. The shop is very clean and they use the highest quality jewelry. I won’t go anywhere else.
