This review is a bit late in the making but no less important. Over this most recent forth of July weekend, I made an hour-long trip with my best friend to Man's Ruin. I was getting my nipples pierced and Jenn was both friendly and knowledgeable. They were my first piercings and I was admittedly a little nervous but I was in good hands. She talked me through everything I needed to know about the piercing process as well as aftercare step by step. The piercing itself was quick, professional, sterile, and as painless as I imagine sliding a needle through your nips could ever hope to be.
It's been a few months since and, having followed her instructions, my piercings are doing great with no problems or concerns. I'm very happy with them and considering making repeat trips for septum and belly button piercings in the future. Having had such a painless experience once, I'll definitely personally be returning to Man's Ruin for future piercings and tattoos.

Asked repeatedly to confirm piercings are only done with internally threaded jewelry per industry standards and APP guidelines. Was told all jewelry was internally threaded. It isn't. All 3 piercings I got done there recently have externally threaded jewelry in them. I had to switch them to titanium due to issues with steel, and am very irritated that they'll also have additional trauma from external threads.

I'm visiting Ashville, to reconnect with myself and decided why not get my nose repierced, so I went to Google. Man's Ruin had stellar reviews and I see why. The atmosphere is great and the vibes were good. Jenna was so amazing and very relaxed, we talked and she did her best to make me feel comfortable and at home. She's also very funny and a dog lover which is an A plus in my book. She walked me through everything she was going to do, and what to expect. I was nervous because I had never gone to a ligit parlor. It was short and sweet and almost no pain, she then informed me on how to care for my nose. When I tell you this place is the ish, it really is. If I become brave enough to get a septum piercing, I will go back to Man's Ruin, I live in Sout Carolina by the way. These ladies know what they're doing. The money you spend will be well worth it. I've been to shops that would barely talk to me, let alone make me feel comfortable. Also the shop is very clean and put together, Jenna is very organized and thorough, you will not be disappointed.
