Rising Sparrow Tattoo

I have had my whole sleeve tattooed by Patrick Flynn at Rising Sparrow. We even took home a trophy at the invite only evergreen convention in Oregon in 2017 for large black and white realism. I am so glad I spent the money and hired a true tattooer who cared enough about my skin to take pride in the work from beginning to end. If you want a PROFESSIONAL tattoo... Go here. The environment is clean, sterile, comfortable. I've been to lots of shops in AVL and Rising Sparrow is by far the nicest in the area.

Went to Rising Sparrow for my first tattoo. Alex Stairs was amazing! I cannot stress enough how helpful, professional, and talented this artist is. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with placement, design, and location before starting. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. He also did a very impressive pocket watch tattoo for my boyfriend the same day. The level of skill and detail in piece of that size is phenomenal. We are both throughly impressed with his work and ecstatic with our new tattoos.The shop was very clean, bright, and friendly. Staff made sure to greet everyone promptly and kindly. I have already encouraged several friends to reach out to Alex for their future work. Talented is truly an understatement for his work.

I've been getting tattooed here at Rising Sparrow for 3+ years and every time has been a great experience. Always super clean and great artist also very knowledgeable on tattooing and good atmosphere. I would recommend anyone to get tattooed here. Can't wait to set another appointment with Patrick.

Alex Stairs just made the most beautiful tattoo for me. It’s my favorite and best piece to date! I would recommend him to anyone! He pays attention to detail, has a nice light and steady hand, and he makes you feel taken care of. This shop is big, comfortable, clean and has great art on the walls to admire while you’re getting zapped.

Five stars all around!! I got my brows done by Angel and she did an amazing job; honestly better than I could have ever hoped for! She made the experience great with her professionalism and personality as well; I highly recommend going to see her if you want to have the best brows around!

PS - I traveled over an hour to get to her and it was worth every moment!

This is the best place hands down to get a tattoo or your eyebrows done or anything they offer Patrick Flynn the owner and his wife are great. It’s a very clean and friendly environment. I’ve had several tattoos done here and had my eyebrows done and let me tell you they changed my face. Absolutely recommend them and will be back.

I 100% love everyone at Rising Sparrow. Not only are the artists there extremely talented, but they are genuinely nice people. Mike has done all of my piercings and he's not only a great person but extremely professional. I love his work ethic.

I have had 4 tattoos, soon to be 5, done by Alex Stairs (@alexanderstairs on IG) so far and I absolutely adore him. Not only is he extremely talented but he's a wonderful person.

This is the only place I will ever go for tattoos or piercings. They are clean, professional and knowledgeable. They make you feel right at home with their friendly and welcoming attitudes. Always caring about placement and making sure you are happy before you walk out the door. I recommend Rising Sparrow to anyone looking for good, professional artists.

Went to Rising Sparrow back when they were in their old location to get a tattoo colored in. The entire time the tattoo artist was pushing me to change the color palette I wanted to make it look brighter/more colorful to match his style (I went with what he said and now regret it). He also offered a free one time touch up within a certain amount of time after the appointment. Now, he was either a visiting artist or quit soon after my appointment because when I returned for the touch up he no longer worked there (even though he responded to my email stating he was still there). They let the apprentice tattoo me and he went too deep on the tattoo so now parts of it are scarred. He also added a border around the edge without previously asking me. Then charged me several hundred for a botched touch up. My issue isn't that I didn't get a free touch up - it's that I was misinformed about my original artist, then not told that the second artist was an apprentice/new, and then overcharged for the work I had done. I now have a tattoo with great linework (from another shop), a weird border that looks like a bruise, the wrong colors, uneven color, and scarring.
