I did my research before hand trying to find the best location/artist to get tattooed by. I traveled 3 hours to Vault tattoo which is nothing in comparison to others. There's reviews left of people flying in from the other side of the US to come here, and definitely with good reason.
For starters, as soon as you walk through the front door of Vault Tattoo you're going to be welcomed by a positive, and professional atmosphere. The walls are all stenciled with Anime, there's a TV right in the lobby that was playing Demon Slayer when I arrived. And every single person working in that place has a genuine positive attitude. You can immediately tell that they're happy to be there.
My artist was Cody(handsomejacktattoo) I had just shy of a 9 hour session with him, he was incredibly easy to talk too and held conversation very well. He and the rest of the staff were very accommodating. Pricing is exceptionally fair, quality work requires quality pay, and it was worth every single penny. Cody didn't miss a single detail, he's an absolute perfectionist, and when you're getting something that's gonna be on you the rest of your life, that is the exact type of person you want tattooing yourself.

Absolutely blown away by this place! My work was done by Matt (@matt.does.tattoos) and he is just incredible. The studio is phenomenal, all of the staff was so kind and super fun to chat with. My work took about 8 hours and I was offered snacks+drinks throughout the session. Matt was incredibly patient and professional - I’ll absolutely be returning to him specifically for work, but I’m thrilled that he’s at such a rad studio!!

Got a forearm piece here a few months ago. Really awesome custom design, whole experience was nice and pleasant, and done efficiently. Only thing I have to say is that they’re extremely busy almost all the time so getting any touch ups or follow up appointments might take a while. They are nice and hopefully I get my piece finished up sometime soon

Vault is awesome! The atmosphere of the whole shop is really chill and fun. I watched my favorite animes during my appointments and chatted with my artist. Christian (@NukeMilk on Instagram) did a fantastic job with my tattoos and he made the environment relaxing. Am already planning my next two with him! If you’re in the area (or even if you’re not) absolutely check them out.

I’ve been to tons of tattoo shops, and this is by far the best I’ve been to yet. Between the people & the environment they have, and how insanely talented they ALL are, I won’t go anywhere else in NC. Even thought it’s an anime themed shop I’ve only gone in with ideas outside of that genre, and David has done an incredible job each time. Definitely my favorite art on my body! Much more to come 🙏

I was unable to make my appointment due to a family emergency And because it did not fall within the 72 hours cancelation policy i had to forfeit my $200 deposit. This was something completely out of my control and they didn't even try to work with me. That is not how you treat people Let alone clients that were planning on getting a full sleeve tattoo. On their business practices alone I do not recommend this establishment.
