I loved working with Laura. Although I can’t say I’m totally happy with the results. My knee tattoos are uneven and the line work is less then ideal, I believe she pressed far too hard and made some of the words thicker then other I have many tattoos and so I feel pretty confident in knowing what’s pressing too hard and not when it comes to how it heals and what it looks like when it’s healed. Her price is a little out there as she is an apprentice. I am happy with her costumer services and it was a very clean place over all.

Athena is an amazing artist! She is very easy to talk with and is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about her craft. I gave her a few examples of what I liked and she created a tattoo that is unique, absolutely beautiful, and exactly what I wanted.

Her shop is clean, very comfortable, and welcoming. I recommend her and her shop to everyone that comments on my tattoo! Definitely one of the best tattooing locations in the region.

Athena is amazing. I have gotten a few larger pieces done by Athena, and each time my mind is blown by her work. The shop is beautiful and all other staff members are friendly. The experience is always top notch!

I was able to be squeezed in with Mark today and the whole experience was great! My tattoo came out great and I felt comfortable even though this was my first tattoo! I'll definitely go back for future tattoos, everyone was very friendly! :)

I received a tattoo from their apprentice Bea. She was very meticulous w her work and of course very personable. I respected that she and Athena were honest about Bea's expertise level and we all worked together to get the best placement for my tattoo that would make me happy while retaining the integrity of the design and not push Bea out of her comfort zone. I was impressed that Athena not only recommended techniques for Bea to use during my session, but also explained WHY something should be done. My piece is only a few days old, but I'm confident it will look excellent once healed. Bea did great! Love this shop. Friendly and knowledgeable in a really cool setting. Great vibes here all around.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Athena for years now. She is an amazing artist, very professional and a good person. Her shop is clean, great atmosphere and all the other artists are friendly and very professional. I recommend Amarok and Athena to anyone looking to get tattooed.

Athena just finished my half sleeve today. She took a rough idea that I had and turned it into something I would have never came up with on my own. Very professional but also personable. The entire shop was clean and made me feel comfortable. Plus her music playlists are top notch! I would definitely recommend Athena and her shop to anyone looking for a great tattoo experience!

Phenomenal Artists. Professional in their work. A deep sense of pride in the art they create. A must see studio. I stopped in for a consult on a cover up. Knowing Athena takes her art very serious I was comfortable giving her an idea and where I want it and she ran with it. After spending what I would assume to be hours of drawing when I showed up for day one the picture she drew far exceeded my expectations. The work is truly amazing having no time to heal I had gotten multiple compliment already. Can't wait to show off the finished product!

Athena is beyond talented! She is so skilled and precise with her work. I had gotten a couple small tattoos from her years ago and was very happy with them. Flash forward a few years and I am ready to get some more tattoos. There was an apprentice who seemed to be doing decent so I tried him out and ended up disappointed. Turns out he was not honest about his experience and the reason for his photos of tattoos was due to guidance and teaching that he felt he no longer needed but the end result of my tattoo showed he was not ready to be on his own. I reached out to Athena and she happily agreed to fix it. I was just hoping for a touch up, but she reworked the entire thing and it is now beautiful. I also had another tattoo done by Athena and it is perfect. I will be trusting her with all future work and recommend her to anyone!

I’ve been going to Athena for tattoos long before she opened Amarok. She is an award winning artist for a reason and hands down one of the nicest people you will ever meet! All the artists at Amarok do amazing work and each have their styles to fit anyone’s taste! They will treat you with respect and give you the tattoo of your dreams! The studio also has some amazing guest artists that stop in and you can get work done by artists you wouldn’t normally get to in Fargo. Amarok is the only place I will go for my tattoos!
