Black Cloud Tattoo

The place was clean and the staff was great. The person that done my tattoo was not to good. I have had a few experts tell me it seemed rushed. It has been over 4 months and you can see all the missed spots and the splotchy parts. I have heard great things about the owner but I won’t go back. It’s gonna cost me more money to get it fixed. It does not look like a crisp clean tattoo that you would want forever. Had high hopes because the are close to my house, but I guess I should have done more research.

To update you all. It has been past 9 months now. I did go in and talk to one of the owners who did try to fix the mistakes made by the girl there. However he being one of the new owners and new to doing tattoo made the same mistakes. I called Chris the 1st owner and made an appointment to come in so he could fix , but when I was told to come in he was not there. He flew to LA for a convention. This place only cares about the money, and they show that by allowing a person to walk around with there tattoo on them as terrible word of mouth advertising. Dont waste your money and do research people. I rushed and they were close by my house, but now it will cost me way more to cover it up. It was a big regret of my life going to this place. The only upside is that the shop is clean.

I’m very disappointed with my experience here. I got a tattoo that meant a lot to me, it was a scar cover up from a traumatic event. A small scar, but one that bothered me nonetheless. I went in and talked to Kevin Byers about my tattoo. We worked on it and he stenciled it out and everything. He was very personable and when the tattoo was finished he put Saniderm on it. I went to take off the saniderm to finally see my tattoo that I’ve been waiting to get for a couple years now, and I see there are skips in the lettering, the first letter was messed up and there was a patch in the rose. I understand going over scar tissue is hard, but these spots really just looked like they were missed. I talked to Kevin about it because I tipped $30 so I figured fixing it would be no big deal. He was very rude about fixing it and I still don’t have it fixed. I had this done in January. It’s very disheartening because this was such an important tattoo for me, and it had so much meaning behind it. I feel like he just didn’t take me seriously.

Excellent tattoo shop. I get my work done by Coffee, but all of the artists in the shop are amazing. Super friendly and laid back atmosphere, no egos like you find at some other tattoo shops. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

I went to see Justin "Babs" Barbarino several months ago to start my journey on a sleeve tattoo. I came with him with a vision and an idea of what i wanted and Justin quickly turned it into reality. I couldn't be more happier with the tattoo I have and cant wait till get more done by him.

Does Kevin still work there? If so, do you do appointments only or do you do walk in too sometime? My last tattoo I had done by kevin when he was in the process of leaving blue byrd. Looking to coming in as soon as possible!

Kevin is a real good tattoo artist. I love my tat. Nice atmosphere in the shop...no weirdos hanging out all the time!!!
