I was immediately greeted upon walking into the shop and directed to someone who could help me. I presented a design idea and received feedback that helped perfect the image. I was told about the process for scheduling and left to think about what I would do. I returned later to schedule and was offered same day service because of a cancellation. The environment was welcoming and clean. Tay was very invested in providing me with the tattoo I wanted and I’m more than pleased with the outcome. I never considered I’d want more than one tattoo, but I’m already thinking about another one. If I do get another one, I’ll see if Tay is available to do it, too. Positive experience overall!

Artists didn't care about my girl and I tattoos or helping her place it or making any suggestions whatsoever. Made her feel terrible. Didn't feel welcome, everyone was pretty rude. Horrible experience at this place. Save your time and try a different shop completely. POOR PROFESSIONALISM. Complete joke of a shop.

came in for a walk-in this afternoon and i love it! shea started working with me as soon as i walked in and was very helpful, and was very patient with me while i took forever to decide on placement. the tattoo itself is great and i’m very, very happy with it!

David’s work is always incredible! I’ve gotten a tremendous amount of compliments on the work Dave has done on my arms. One of the tats was a cover up of solid black lettering. When I tell people that this is a cover up they usually don’t believe me. I’ve never taken a photo or a picture into the shop. Typically Dave and I discuss what’s in my head and he starts drawing and we end up with exactly what I had in mind. David is honest almost to a fault. I have had an idea for a tattoo in the past and Dave has done his best to explain and caution me as to what that may look like in years to come. Dave will also attempt to coach a person if he has a concern that the placement or orientation of a design may be wrong. I trust Dave completely with my tattoos and I am always confident that when the work is finished I’ll be happy with the result. The staff at Blue Byrd is always courteous and professional. The shops are clean and well stocked. Perhaps the greatest compliment I get is “hey can I get your tattoo guys number”. So thanks Dave! I’ll be seeing you soon! Let’s book another 4 hours soon!

If you are in an urge to get some new ink..THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! We were visiting some family from the Dayton area and called at the last minute and was told to come right down to discuss our ideas (my husband and I). Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Tay Caldwell. He took my idea and plenty of time with me to create the most beautiful piece of art! He communicated every step of the way until the tattoo was finished to his satisfaction and mine! (he even called me back to add a finishing touch at no charge just to make it more PERFECT). In addition to my extreme happiness, my husband was also extremely pleased with his tattoo that Tay coordinated to accommodate our time crunch. Shea stepped right in to help and also did an excellent job with his tattoo. Thank you to both of you!!! We will be back!!

I had a tattoo done at Blue Byrd and couldn't be happier with the results. Though it was a piece in a delicate place and complicated, David handled the tattoo, and me, with care, compassion, and a good deal of humor. His methods for preparing for the tattoo were meticulous and thorough. I always felt safe with him. Everything healed quickly without any trouble. The artwork is gorgeous, and exactly what I was envisioning. I have nothing but praise. Thank you, David.
