Not only are all of Black Metal's artists incredibly talented, but the environment is welcoming in a way you don't always experience at tattoo shops. Angus has done a few of my tattoos, the oldest being 8 years ago and it's still looking great. He is considerate and makes the experience comfortable and fun.

So I went and talked to an artist there. Went over my tattoo, he took my number and scheduled my appointment. It was about a month out so I emailed my ideas Also and asked for a response and got nothing. Waited a week and emailed again just to make sure we were still good and again no response. I called the shop about 3 days before my appointment to make sure it was still a go and they took my info and said they would get back to me and I am a week after my so called appointment and still no one has reached out to me. Terrible customer service. Definitely do not recommend. Plenty of other places that actually know how to treat potential customers.

Went in three weeks ago to discuss my idea with Jake. Made the appointment for the following Sunday. Didn't get my tattoo. Which was great! He had an awesome design drawn up and ready to go, but wasn't completely satisfied with its layout. Instead of going ahead with it just because I was there, and collecting the money, he asked if I could wait to have it done while he worked it out.
I really appreciated him wanting to take the time to get it right. So we made the appointment for this past Sunday, and he did the most absolutely amazing work. From start to finish, around 3 1/2 hours, he was zoned in on making every fine line, every detail and shaded area look the best it possibly could. No shortcuts, no rushing. This tattoo is true artwork.
It puts my original idea to shame. I'm truly grateful that he got me involved in the design process and took that extra time and effort to make it come out like his mind envisioned it. This is the first of more work that I will have done at Black Metal Tattoo. After this first experience, I'm not even thinking about going anywhere else. In Jake I trust.
