I've gone to Grizzly Tattoo twice now. Both times were for cover ups for older tattoos, and both times were done with different artists, Tyler and Laura. The shop is really inviting and unique, with alot of personality that gives it a cool vibe. Each artist has their own unique niche that they excel at. Their prices are honest and their work is outstanding. Now that I have my cover ups out of the way, I'm excited to see what they can accomplish from a blank slate!

I've been to a few tattoo shops in the past, but this place is by far my favorite! The artist was really nice and he exceeded my expectations and my tattoo came out way better than I imagined! Long story:
Found Shauna's artwork online, and her style fit the concept that I was going for. She was totally patient with my over-the-top explanation of what I wanted, really helpful even though she was clearly very busy, and professional from the beginning. When she showed me the sketch she had turned out, it turns out that she did a little independent research of her own. She really went out of her way to make the piece extremely intricate and it was absolutely perfect.
Went in for my first session, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats on the stereo and friendly staff all around. Great, great vibe. Game of Death was even playing on a computer nearby, so I got to see a little kung-fu action while getting worked on. Bonus!
Like a dummy, I picked a huge chest piece for my first real tattoo. Shauna advised me that it would be "challenging," and was not lying. The atmosphere in Grizzly is so awesome, though, that I was mostly distracted and having a blast.
Going back twice more to finish the first piece, will continue to return until I'm bankrupt. Thanks, Grizzly!

I walked in, and trusting my intuition, booked with Tyler, without doing any research. I knew he was the right artist, just by the way he handled conversation with a stranger, and the confidence he and his shop exuded. I gave him artistic freedom with only a few requests, and what he came up exceeded anything I could have thought of. It was only 2 hours into my first session that I learned that this amazing shop was his - lucky me! Super professional, the rest of the staff were engaging and supportive during the last 30 minutes of my 4 hour session (I was pretty much hamburger by then). Clean, friendly and smart, with a hefty dash of badass. Coming back for more very soon.

Jason has to be my favorite tattoo artist of all time. The attention to detail and composition he puts into his work is so above and beyond it's hard to even entertain the idea of getting tattooed by someone else.
That said, all of the artists that work here are phenomenal in their own right, but personally, Jason's style and perfectionism clicks with my personality more than any other artist I've seen.

Went here just after they opened in the morning for a walk in since I wasn't going to be in town long enough to book something a few months out like most shops in Portland require. I wanted a simple, relatively small tattoo and they set it up right away. I was in and out in under an hour with a tattoo I'm very happy with. Overall excellent service, very friendly, great shop!

Went in and got some work done from Chris Valkov, wasn’t sure what I was getting since I told him to take my idea and run with it, and I was blown away by the artwork and I’m just in love with my new ink!
Super nice guy, great atmosphere in there, and got a good price.
Will definitely go back for more at some point, and I would hands down recommend this place for anyone looking for some quality tats.

Got my first tattoo yesterday and it is so beautiful I love it! My sister and I were walk in customers and I think they got to us pretty fast. David did an awesome job and was so friendly I will definitely be going back
