Had a great experience at New Rose. Simone was awesome. We emailed back and forth before my tattoo and then she had a few options ready when we arrived. Simone made more changes to create what I wanted. 1 week later the tattoo looks awesome, she did a fantastic job. Thank you!

I've been coming here for almost 5 years and have seen a few of the artists here. There are a lot of talented individuals here. I get many compliments and asking for pictures of the work they have done and I always recommend them to anyone who asks where to go for some new ink. I love the New Rose family! 😊

Loved the tattoo design and artists work but the second time I came In, the position he put me in was unbearable and he could have adjusted. I could tell he and the artist next to him who kept shooting me looks thought (even though I’m covered in tattoos and gotten tattoos with him in the past) that I was in pain from the tattoo itself which was not the case. After 6 hours I asked for a third bathroom break and the artist got upset and didn’t finish all the shading and said we were done.
He also used a lidocaine spray without telling me until I asked if that’s what he was using which I did not want applied.
It was freezing in the shop too which made it far more uncomfortable. It would have been an amazing experience if they can get it together

Amazing tattoo experience. Jared was very friendly and professional. The place was clean, everyone wore masks and there was only one other couple in the building. The tattoo is still healing but looks pretty close to the design I made. Cost was also affordable, only $100, and I was in and out in less than an hour. Might get another tattoo and I will definitely be back here.

I have gotten tattoos here from both Carrie and Marena, as well as a 5 year touch up from Carrie. My experience has always been terrific. The artists are professional, communicative, and most of all talented aa hell. Highly recommend if you are looking for an artist in PDX.

Got my first two tattoos here from Jared. Even during COVID the experience was easy and friendly; I had a quick consult, emailed through my designs, and everything was good to go from there. The shop was clean, well air conditioned, and is in a great location. I'm very happy with my tattoos.

Marena did my first tattoo and it was a great experience. She was fast, and did a wonderful job disguising a huge scar on my arm. She's friendly and fun to talk to- I already have another appointment scheduled with her.. I definitely recommend!

Been meaning to write this one - Happened upon this place with a friend of mine from out of town who I had been quarantining with in the wilderness back in October (Yes, we both got tested for COVID first!) She found Jared’s profile online and booked an appointment to get an original piece done. We both went, and the ambiance of the place was great - I was able to wait in there and both Jared and the receptionist (I wish I remembered her name!) were super sweet and fun. My friend loves her tattoo, and even though she’s back on the east coast now I know that when she comes back post-pandemic, New Rose will be a place she’ll want to visit again. When she was done getting hers, Jared was also able to squeeze me in for a small spur-of-the-moment piece for me as well. Thank you :)
