First Hand Tattoo

my first experience at First Hand was even better than expected. all the staff there was so friendly and chill, awesome thanks waiting room and a good amount of room. the receptionist was amazing, helped me schedule and reschedule my appointment. Shane, my artist, executed the design i wanted better than the original. anyone giving this place a bad review doesn’t know what a good tattoo shop looks like.

Everyone here is nice I had a great time while making some new friends . Everyone here is gifted at what they do. I will be back for more work to be done however it will be on me right arm not the left because you DO NOT mess with perfection . Thank you very much Jadessa for making the memory of my daughter alive on my arm and not just in my heart . When we started this it was supposed to be something special between me & my daughter and it has definetly grown into artwork that must be on display for everyone to see so I guess i will be wearing sleeveless shirts with PLEANTY of sunscreen this spring & summer.

First Hand has some of the best artists in the business. Quality quality quality!!! Some artists may be very expensive but you get what you pay for, and at First Hand it’s quality. They care about what they’re putting on your body as much as you care! I couldn’t recommend Cameron enough he is going to be the next biggest thing. Iv personally have gotten tattooed from him Nikki, John, and Cameron. As well as gotten work done from Emmy, their piercer. You will not be disappointed with anyone who works there. If you go once I promise you will keep going back!

I booked an appointment with Nikki for a small tattoo. When I was sent back to see her, she didn’t greet or even acknowledge me or tell me where to sit, it was very awkward.

While she did the tattoo, another employee came up and started an argument with her right in front of me. It was really unprofessional of him and distracted her. it was also over something so minor that he could’ve waited until she wasn’t with a client. It was so petty and unprofessional of him and made me really uncomfortable that he was doing that while she was tattooing me.

Nikki didn’t ask me about the style I wanted or type of shading, very much acted like she just wanted to get it over with so I was uncomfortable and afraid to ask for changes. Its my fault for not just asking about the shading before getting started, but when she was done, the tattoo was way darker and had way more shading than I wanted and expected based on the photos I sent. I would have asked about the shading during the tattooing, but the guy arguing with her was distracting me and making me uncomfortable so I didn’t want to interrupt and ask. It’s on me for not interrupting to ask, but you shouldn’t put a client in that position.

I also have some blowout on the tattoo and it doesn’t look good now that it’s healed because it was over shaded to begin with, and since the ink blew out it looks even darker. I should’ve been concerned when I saw Nikki didn’t have any photos of healed work on her instagram.

When I left, the friend who came with me said how weird the vibes were in there. I completely agreed and won’t be back. The place did seem very clean though and the front desk girl and the guy on the phone were very friendly and helpful. Hopefully I just came on a bad day but it was a really uncomfortable experience and I’m not happy with the tattoo I got. Also very high prices here, especially for a tattoo with blow out.

Great staff, everyone is extremely friendly. Personally worked with John multiple times (full back piece) and did a great job. Communicated well and everything was done in a timely matter.

I got my first tattoo, by John Groves and I could not be more pleased. I was impressed with how clean and organized the shop was, I have already inquired about setting up my next tattoo, thank you John for making my first tattoo a great experience

Would not recommend. I had appointment here last Friday to get a piercing. I drove over an hr to get here, only to find out they were closed for the week because they went to the tattoo convention instead. No one Reached out to me to let me know they were closed.This is after the fact that they already rescheduled my first appointment. Very unprofessional.

I came here on a whim to get pricing for some tattoos I want, and Camryn got me in that night with the one tattoo I wanted and he did such an amazing job! It was simple, but just beautifully done! Can't wait to go back and get some more j k from him! The whole shop was super nice and clean, all of the employees there made you feel welcomed as soon as you walked in! I would highly recommend!

Hi, I just hafta give firsthand tattoo a 2 thumbs up, I was there in the beginning of August & Emmy pierced my nose, she was great! Had no issues w the piercing & yesterday I went in to have a tattoo done by Nikki & she was just as great! Love it there, its so clean & everyone is so friendly, I will definitely be returning in the future! Thanx guys!

Super talented artist. Everyone's super personable and easy to talk to. Very clean shop 10/10 do recommend
