I had an amazing experience at the First Hand Tattoo today. My tattoo artist was Evan and I could not have been happier! He was very patient with me as I was not 100% sure what exactly I wanted done. So he took an idea and created a beautiful art work that went above and beyond my expectations. Evan is an amazing Tatoo artist, he made me feel calm and comfortable and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
The salon itself is very clean and beautiful and everyone there was very welcoming.

So imma start off by saying the experience was great they let us all be with our friends and experience each tattoo with them. But at the end they sprung it up on all 5 of us that you only accept cash/venmo. That’s something you tell people before they get the tattoo as most establishments in 2022 accept card. I understand if you want to do cash but you state that before you start tattooing someone. Also took straight advantage of the fact that we were college students having fun. Noted college students are broke. You charged me $300 for a small quote on my ribs. when the hourly is $150. noted the tattoo took 20 MINUTES. that would be $50. but the excuse was “an up charge for ribs”. Which none of us were notified about and a $250 up charge ? excuse me. two other girls got tiny tattoos that we timed because we bet on it ourselves and one took 30.79 seconds and was charger $150?! I understand there can be minimums but there was absolutely no signs no verbal communication. We all have tattoos and are experienced with very reputable artist this was straight up charging with no justification.

I went in for my first tattoo yesterday - for my birthday - and the all of the guys couldn't have made me feel more comfortable and welcome. I came in with a sketch, and Evan made it into something even more unique, special and creative. The shop is super clean too! I will definitely go back for more. Thank you Evan, Chris, John and Fitz for a great first time tattoo experience.

Seriously you could not ask for a better shop and a better crew. Chris has out done himself both decorating the shop and finding the amazing men he has working with him. Fritz is funny and understanding and always willing to work with you to get you the best. Chris, John and (today actually) Eric have all tattooed me. Chris is a great artist!! He listened to what I was looking for but came up with ideas I never even thought of. My military sleeve means a lot to me and Chris gave me something I will love looking at for the rest of my life. Chris, John, and Fitz are a great group of guys.
