Patches Tattoo & Emporium

Seems to be a decent place, daughter got a tattoo here. They are definitely pricey for a small tat, Danny is a bit rude in my opinion. Oh, and they are cash only. FYI...

Danny was simply put, HORRIBLE!! I brought my 17 year old here for her first tattoo and not only do the tattoos look terrible, but every question we asked he responded with a very condescending or smart remark, as if to say we should know all about tattoos and we are just ignorant for not having knowledge that a tattoo artist has? He also sat outside smoking cigarettes for about 20 minutes while we waited for him to do our two small tattoos. We even requested another artist but the front desk informed us it would “complicate her job”. All around negative experience.

The folks running the shop are amazing!!! Their guest relations are through the roof. As far as talent and quality of work, just look at the pics online, they speak for themselves 😁

Victoria came in on her day off to do a memorial tattoo… She ended the tattoo exactly at the passing of my loved one!!! She was so awesome and patient with us during our Tattoos… She is hands down a great artist I would recommend her to anyone.. the shop was clean and inviting!

Victoria was super nice and accommodating as I was only in town for a couple of days. The shop was clean with a positive and inviting vibe. Totally recommended! Thanks again Victoria!! I love my new tattoo ❤️

We came in from out of town and wanted to get a couple small tattoos. We had called the day before and were told they opened at 12pm. When we arrived, the business hours on the door stated they didn’t open until 1pm. We waited 10 minutes after 1pm before Danny arrived. We were greeted kindly, with questions concerning our tattoo ideas/sizes. His tone changed quickly when we began asking questions. He became very dry & short, giving an attitude without any good reasoning. The rudeness and attitude really set the tone for our experience, so we decided to leave and go elsewhere.

Read some good reviews on this place but had a very different experience, with Danny in particular. We were there on vacation and my two friends and I came in to get tattoos. Were told on the phone the day before that they opened at 12, got there at 12 the next day only to find they didn’t open til 1:00. He was about 10-15 minutes late opening up, which wouldn't have been a big deal if he hadn’t been rude from the beginning. With every question we asked about prices and sizes he was rude and arrogant and extremely sarcastic. He gave off really bad vibes and seemed beyond annoyed and frustrated with our very logical and realistic questions like, how much will a tattoo this size cost? We didn’t want to waste any more of our day with this pathetic human so needless to stay, we left. Would never try to go there again

Called the day before and they said they could get me in the next day. We went before seven o’clock and they told me they would be able to get to me at 9:30. Went back at 9:15 and then they said that it would be another hour and they’d text when they were ready for us. At a bit before 10:30 they text so we went down there sat another hour before they told us it would be another hour and a half to two hours wait. They were extremely nice but need better time management and more employees

Really fun atmosphere and a super easy process. 10/10. Victoria was amazing!

Victoria did an amazing job on my bicep tattoo of my kids birth flowers! Super fast and little pain involved. Highly recommend her! Pricing was right too!

I had my nipples pierced by Jessica and she was PHENOMENAL. Super comforting, very professional, and not pushy what so ever. I am SO glad we saw the great reviews and decided to go there. I would highly recommend her, 10/10.

Victoria is amazing! she took up a fixer upper piece and transformed it into exactly what was wanted. She made the shading perfect and we love the colors! She has amazing customer service every visit and makes sure all of her customers are happy and have all the information they need. Jess, the front desk personnel and piercer, gives off wonderful vibes and is super sweet. 10/10 experience! :) EDIT 9-22-22: i visited for a third time today and got my first piercings from Jess, and i just have to say, Jess is so professional in the way everything was handled and she made me feel so comfortable with my experience. another 10/10

Walked in to get a spur of the moment tattoo with my husband for my 30th birthday. The lady at the front counter was very nice but the tattoo artist (Danny) was a total a$$hole. Rude and condescending. My husband and I both have 12+ tattoos each....this was not our first rodeo. When I showed him an idea of what I wanted, he stated that he didn't want to waste an hour drawing up something for me. I told him I wanted it about 4 inches wide across my forearm and he told me that size was too small and he wanted to use "all the use-able space." He then proceeded to quote me about $200 more expensive than the tattoo should of been. I gave him a few more times to make sure I was not reading him the wrong way...but he had yet to prove me wrong. He was more interested in boasting about "his experience" as a tattoo artist than discussing options for a tattoo for me. Maybe he was a decent artist...but we didn't stick around to find out. We eventually ended up leaving and going somewhere else. I am about to go post a GREAT review for the place that was accommodating and kind to us. Overall, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME at this place. Not worth it. Not sure how their reviews are so good.

I went in to Patches Yesterday while in Gulf Shores on vacation. The lady at the desk was super sweet and helpful. Danny had an opening and said he could do my tattoo right then. He is an awesome tattoo artist. I showed him the design I wanted, he made a few adjustments to it and it looks great! I will definitely return to him for future tattoos. The picture is a little blurry due to the covering on it.

Came in with my daughter, husband, and best friend as a walk in and they did an awesome job all around. All of us left happy and excited about our new ink and my daughter’s piercing was seemless. The staff was great, even gave temporary tattoos to the other kids with us that were too young for actually. Would recommend!

Stopped here with some friends to get our ears pierced on the way home from a trip. The environment is very clean and was super accommodating to us 5. Jessica was so great!!
