Ephemeral Tattoo

The girl who did my tattoo was frantic, frazzled, in a rush, spilled ink everywhere and after 10 months my hideous tattoo is still here, no signs of fading lol

I had an absolutely amazing experience! The studio was so beautiful and clean, and the staff do such an amazing job of making sure everyone feels safe and welcome!

Great experience. This was my first tattoo. It barely hurt. It is supposed to fade over the course of the year. The people who work there are helpful, easy to work with and genuine. Oh and I was pleasantly surprised at how safe the ink is.

I absolutely love coming here! Everyone has such great energy. The artists are all extremely talented and personable. I’ve been going to James repeatedly for several months. If you want perfection and everything to be perfect, go see James!!! He’s incredibly talented.

These are not actually “Ephemeral.” I received my tattoo in October of 2021 and as of January 2023 it has barely faded. My friend got his several weeks earlier and it’s still there, just patchy and ugly at this point. Luckily mine is easy to cover, but I feel bad for anyone that got something silly in an exposed area. It was also THE MOST PAINFUL tattoo I’ve ever gotten and I say that having a real one directly on my collarbone. The artists and staff were all extremely kind and friendly, but this is definitely a deceptive premise.

I cannot say enough good things about the Ephemeral Tattoo studio in LA. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and happy to be there. I went in for my first tattoo and the staff and my wonderful tattoo artist, Alvin, made the whole experience so memorable and comfortable. The studio is so clean and nice. It’s also so cool how your tattoo fades; it’s especially nice for someone who’s not sure that they’ll want a specific tattoo to last forever. Highly recommend their studio!

For my first tattoo ever, this was a great experience. The team there were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They made everything super easy and the whole process was seamless. My artist collaborated with me on my design until it was perfect. The shop itself is very clean and inviting. Highly recommend if you're a long time tattoo client or first timer like me.

The entire experience from making a reservation to post-tattoo care was incredible! This was my first tattoo, and the entire staff and the artist that did my tattoo were so kind and welcoming. I was nervous about getting a tattoo, but from the moment I walked in I felt more at ease. The nostalgic candy was a sweet bonus :) I would highly recommend Ephemeral to anyone, especially if you are a first timer like myself.

From the time you make a reservation to the time you leave, the staff at Ephemeral take really good care of you. I gave them a fairly complex design and they were able to make my vision a reality. What I appreciated was their transparency throughout the entire process. I didn't feel intimated or pressured at all. My artist was amazing and extremely talented. I would recommend to anyone seeking a made to fade tattoo.

I had a great experience! I had a font ready to use and my artist was so great. Didn't really hurt at all (my first tattoo as well). Only thing I wish I had gotten was one of the cool polaroids I have seen others get. Kind of bummed I didn't get one! Not a huge deal though. I HIGHLY recommend this place and super excited to see how my tattoo fades.

I had a couple tattoo designs I've been considering but wasn't sure if it would be something I would want 20 years from now. Booking the appointment was super simple and straight forward, and I love being able to submit your design or ideas for tattoos to discuss with the artists. Coming in for my appointment, the place was super clean and had tons of yummy snacks. Everyone I spoke with there was down to Earth and very friendly too! I had an original tattoo idea but decided to go for another design, and I'm really happy with the results. Getting a sternum tattoo was definitely not comfortable 🤣 but my artist and the staff gave me the support and care needed to get through the process. Afterwards I was walked through the next steps of care to ensure the best healing process, and got a goodie bag of tattoo care items and sweet and salty snacks to help regulate sugars for the ride home. After my the tattoo healed, I needed a little bit of touch up and got squeezed in pretty easily to get it done. Coming from Oxnard, ease of scheduling was pretty important to me. I would absolutely recommend these made-to-fade tattoos for those who are unsure of having a design permanently, for those covered in tattoos looking for additional designs to place (you can always change it!), losing bets, relationships, etc. I'm excited to have my tattoo for 9-15 months, especially a design and area I was so iffy about something permanent. If you're wondering if you should, this is your answer. Do it.

The whole process was exactly like getting a regular tattoo except for the ink that they use. Compared to normal ink molecules, the ink they use can be metabolized by the body thus allowing this tattoo to fade over time and dissappear. Justine was my artist and she helped me get the exact design that I was looking for.

First of all this place is fantastic, the people are amazing. They're welcoming, nice, and very helpful. I came in for my tattoo and from the moment I booked my appointment online they kept the communication going. James, my tattoo artist really blew my mind with his creativity. He was also very receptive of the few changes I wanted to add. They'll explain everything, will make sure you're comfortable and after the procedure will keep the communication going in case you have questions or need assistance. Will definitely be coming back!

This was such a fun experience. I wasn't sure if I wanted a permanent tattoo on my wrist so I decided to go to ephemeral and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Mykey tattooed me and he is extremely talented - I'm obsessed with the shading he did. The rest of the staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. They educate you and give you guidance on how to take care of your tattoo. I will definitely be coming back.

Great new studio offering a great way to get a tattoo you don’t want forever. The studio was clean, had snacks, and makes you feel comfortable. Artists and staff were friendly and accommodating. I got a nice little tattoo of my dog and turned out great.
