Had a quick stopover in LA at the weekend. We wanted to get a tattoo before leaving but places closed at 9. He was willing to stay back to do our tattoos, great attention to detail, great guy and I’d be willing to come all the way back just for a tattoo! I pity he’s in a different country than me or I’d be in all the time! Highly recommend him and will be telling others about him too. Thanks so much Edwin!

Got my first tattoo here about a week ago. Walked in. Service was great and overall it was a good experience. I got a Theta tattooed on my wrist. Everything seemed find until after I left I noticed that it wasn't symmetrical. The left side of the theta is larger than the right. This wouldn't be a big deal except the fact that it's a tattoo on my wrist. It's permanent and I see it everyday. I'm OCD so it drives me crazy. Would have been a 5 star review if not for this.

If you are looking for a great artist…you’ve come to the right place!!! Edwin is a brilliant artist even before he is a brilliant tattoo artist. I came to him with a rough idea of what I wanted (wait…who am I kidding?…it wasn’t even a rough idea. All I knew is I wanted a geometric pattern and an Owl. Great guidance, huh?) With that…he was able to sketch up Exactly the perfect piece for me!! I love that this was totally custom (as are all of his designs if I’m not mistaken) His shop is immaculately clean and comfortable. Edwin has a light touch and a very friendly & calm personality, which I think is super important when someone is running a needle on your body for hours on end. He has a great eye for design, precision attention to detail, and his shading and coloring are spectacular. I mean, just look at his portfolio!! 5 Stars is not enough!

Working in the industry (17+ yrs) as a photographer & editor for an international tattoo art publication I feel I have a good eye for great artist. Edwin at Evol Arts Studio, in my opinion, is one of the best artist in the LA area. When my daughter came of age and wanted her first tattoo we went straight to Evol - the custom drawing was so beautiful we decided to both get it. The art work that Edwin did for us is incredibly detailed and solid. Highly recommend to the point that I have friends on the east coast that loved his work so much that they flew to LA just to have work done by Edwin.

I got a large Day of the Dead tattoo on my thigh that I love and get tons of compliments on. Now we're working on a Pheonix back piece, it's only about half done and I already get stopped and get compliments on it. I totally wish I could afford one of his paintings!
