Got this amazing flash piece by Jenna! They were super friendly and made the whole experience incredibly pleasant. It had been a few years since I got any tattoos so I was feeling a little anxious, but the shop felt very welcoming and everyone I spoke to was very nice. Jenna made sure I was happy with the size/placement of my tattoo before we got started and ensured I was positioned comfortably throughout the appointment. I was offered water and snacks throughout the process as well, which I haven’t experienced at a shop before! Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the end result and I definitely plan on coming back for more in the future.

Every part of my experience here was fantastic! I just got my first tattoo and I really enjoyed working with Ryan. As suggested by the name, this place feels more like an art gallery than a dive bar, which is why it caught my eye as a place would make me feel comfortable. It's got a great chill vibe and everyone I interacted with was super friendly and welcoming. Ryan was also great with all my fussing about details and placement of the design. As a first timer, I appreciated having the video consult ahead of time so I could ask some questions. Don't know if I'll decide to get a second tattoo, but I'll definitely come back if I do.

NEW REVIEW: Four years later and I just got a second tattoo from June and I am thrilled beyond measure. She's a true artist who takes your idea and creates something more beautiful than you could have ever imagined. Her work is original, impeccable and just plain gorgeous. The shop is always friendly and professional. If you can get on her books I highly recommend letting June create a beautiful piece of art on your body. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I reached out to June's studio after losing one of my best friends. I wanted a tattoo that reflected two of the things we loved best...cats and books. The design process was great. I sent June, and her husband Rob who helps manage the business, a series of "look books" of images that gave a sense of what I was looking for in a watercolor tattoo. When I arrived for my session, I sat with June and she unveiled her design. I was instantly in love. I'll admit I was nervous showing up for a tattoo of a design I hadn't seen yet. But as a writer I completely get the process. My nervousness was completely dispelled when I saw how perfectly June had translated my many images into a single, perfect vision. The shop is lovely. The people are lovely. And the whole process was as painless as a tattoo can be. But more than anything I am so impressed with June's artistry. The detail is amazing! I very highly recommend June and her studio.

I got my first tattoo with Hemi. The shop made the entire process super easy. The form to request the appointment was clear and easy to fill out. A couple weeks later, I received a time estimate and quote. The consent form, again, was super easy. They have a QR code so you can fill it out on your phone when you arrive. The shop is clean and brightly lit. I'd brought headphones, but I liked the music in the shop so I didn't end up needing them. Hemi was very nice, walking me through all the elements of the design I'd requested. I loved her design and no changes were necessary. Hemi finished earlier than anticipated. She gave very clear instructions for after care. And the shop shares after care instructions before and after the appointment in case you need a refresher. I'd definitely come back!

My daughter and I drove down to LA from Northern CA to get matching tattoos. We picked Beto based off of his designs we saw on Instagram. It was my very first tattoo and he was very professional, the shop was very clean, and the staff was extremely helpful, all of which put me at ease. To top it off the tattoos are AMAZING! This is a special place with some really talented and kind humans. When my soulmate dog passed, I knew I wanted to memorialize her, and spent weeks asking for recommendations and stalking tattoo artists on instagram. Beto was the clear winner for the kind of design I was looking for. I was nervous walking in for my appointment, but that immediately melted away and every element of this experience exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was calm and serene. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Most of all, seeing the design for the first time was absolutely overwhelming in the best way. I wanted the design to convey her sweet, intuitive soul and her kind eyes. I didn't want it too cartoony. IT WAS PERFECT. We spent some time figuring out size and placement, and Beto went to work. He is so kind and careful. The tattoo process really didn't hurt, and Beto made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I was lucky enough to book an appointment with Ian. Ian is truly an artist! He took my fairly vague idea and created something that beat all my expectations. I am soooo stoked on how the backpacking toad tattoo came out! I love the small details and the shading is incredible! The picture attached to this review is through the bandage so it looks even better then that. The process itself was super smooth from start to finish. I filled out a form on the studio's website with my tattoo idea and a handful of reference photos. Ian quickly got back to me to let me know he was excited about the idea and gave me the price for the tattoo. Rob then followed up with all the info on how to book and make the deposit. The studio was clean and comfortable and had a great vibe. There was also plenty of street parking nearby. After the session I received a followup email with all the aftercare instructions. Overall an awesome experience! Don't hesitate to come here for a tattoo with Ian. You won't regret it!
