The East

Followed Caroline from her old shop to this one. First of all, the shop is gorgeous! It was fun to walk around and look at all the beautiful work that went into the decor and artwork featured on the walls. I can tell the artists themselves take pride in their stations, as they were clean and full of personality. It is cozy and fun to look at while you're in the chair. As for Caroline herself, she's an amazing artist and is very funny and enjoyable to talk to. Her communication is great, she's very professional, and I really trust her to make sure I walk out with a perfect tattoo. She specializes in fine line black and grey anime/manga panels, but you should def check her out @potato.tats on Instagram to see more of what she's done. I definitely recommend her!

My experience at The East with Caroline is one that I will never forget! Caroline was so great to work with. I can tell she is truly passionate about her work. Working with her was not only easy, it was welcoming and comforting. All of the staff at the shop are so friendly and the aesthetic of the shop is astounding. I am in love with the piece that Caroline did for me. 10/10 would recommend

This is more for the artist than the shop but here is my experience. I had an appointment with Caroline who I know is new to the shop. Even just staring off she was pretty unfriendly but as I filled out my paper work I disclosed that I was on antibiotics for a non contagious sinus infection from seasonal allergies. She tried to get me to reschedule which would make me lose my deposit, but I pressed that my husband had taken a day off work and we had to get a babysitter for this appointment. I agreed with no problem to wear a mask and we continued. She rolled her eyes at me multiple times and made snarky comments the entire 3 hour long appointment. I had a coughing fit from laying down which I told her if I could sit up then I wouldn’t have a problem anymore. After threatening to send me home multiple times she finally agreed to sit me up. Once I was sat up I had no more coughing even though I was faced directly at the air conditioner. I breathed shallow to the point of making myself dizzy for the rest of the appointment because she told me if I coughed one more time she’s done. At the end she gave me no aftercare instructions even though I know what to do it wasn’t very professional. She claimed our appointment ran an hour long yet my coughing mishaps may have added up to 10 minutes at the most. I paid 500$ and even tipped her which I didn’t feeel she deserved for her attitude. But non the less I did because the work itself is beautiful and she is obviously very talented at what she does. I would have booked multiple tattoos with this artist but will never return to the shop from this experience. This is the most expensive tattoo I have ever gotten myself and by far the worst experience. Never have I ever been treated so poorly and been so upset after an appointment. Other then my artist treating me horrible the rest of the staff was very polite and the shop is clean and beautiful. I hope in the future she will change her attitude to match her beautiful work.

Located right in the Ivanhoe Village area this tattoo parlor is quite the location. Massive space with ample artists that specialize in a plethora of styles. Can be a bit costly (minimum $100 for tattoos), but that's expected with any quality tattoo parlor. Gabo was our artist for a simple finger piece and was very charming. In and out in less than an hour. If you're looking for quality ink in the Orlando area, definitely keep an eye out for The East.

The decor is so nice and I absolute love my new sunflower tattoo. It’s a very piece and I am so glad I chose Steve as he did an amazing job. To be honest, I barely felt anything as he has a “soft touch”.

I have gotten tattooed by Sammy, Arden, and Jessica and I had a great experience every time. Highly recommend this shop and I definitely plan on coming back!

Had a wonderful tattoo experience at the East today. It's a beautiful studio and Kuu did an amazing bat tattoo for me. I will definitely be back, thanks Kuu! 😄

Everyone is friendly & seem to have great senses of humor! Mostly get work done by Sammy, but every artist is exceedingly talented!

I have only gotten three tattoos here, but out of my 30 piece collection now from about 9 different studios across the US. It is clear this this studio has gathered an extremely experienced, professional and welcoming team of Artists. They are all top of the line and between them they can provide any style I have ever heard of.

Steve is an incredibly talented artist, got a piece done by him years ago, color still looks amazing. One of the best artist in Florida, if not the entire United States of America.

I’ve gotten two tattoos from Arden now & I cannot speak any higher. The shop itself is eclectic yet homey & clean. The other artists are friendly & welcoming as well. Arden in particular is incredibly kind, gentle, patient & absolutely hilarious. An already talented artist, he is more than worth your time. If you’re looking for a place to go, I highly recommend The East and Arden.

I absolutely love The East. Sammy has done two of my tattoos, one being a large thigh piece and the other a coverup on my foot and toe. They were both very rough sits for me and she was so kind and accommodating for both. Knowing that I’m going to work with someone like Sammy really eases my anxiety before the tattoo. I feel safe knowing that I can tell her that I need a break and an extra spray of Bactine. Or even a Coke or Ring Pop. Her art style is colorful and funky. A must for cutie tattoo lovers. The conversation is easy and fun with her. She’s an absolute angel and ink wizard! 12/10.
