John was fantastic! Came in for my first and a rather large custom piece. John create a perfect design, even better than I had imagined when I thought of it. if you have an interest in Japanese style tattoos, chief is your guy! I had a samurai tattoo done by him and he’s phenomenal! Super great guy and if you’re a service member, he gives out a lot of advice for new service members! Highly recommend going to chief!

Chief is an amazing artist.after dealing with just about every shop in town trying to get my wife's peice done I called chief. He was genuinely upset about the experience we had. I was a little worried coming here but I gotta say, dc damen did the damn thing! I don’t take pain very well and he treated me like a human instead of just a sit still and deal with it canvas like I’ve experienced before. Offered me breaks, a drink for my sugar levels, made sure I was comfortable, and treated me with respect and still was able to joke with me in a professional way. Expected this tattoo to take 2-3 hours and he got it done in an hour and a half. 10/10 I’ll be coming back
