Rachel was our artist. She was such an approachable young lady. She got my daughter & I all taken care of with our matching ink to commemorate our first trip to the island. The photo is of hers, but they're identical. Mine was fuzzy due to the saniderm & my other hand shaking. Or I would've shared it. I just don't want a fuzzy photo to be shown to maybe downplay a positive review.

Great Service. Was in Waikiki for the week and my partner and I wanted to get a couple tattoos. Did not prebook, but showed up around 1100 and able to get us in for 1:30pm. The shop: has a comfortable, welcoming vibe. Pro-tip: either 1) walk to the shop or 2) find parking a block or so away from the shop well in advance of your appointment to avoid scrambling. The artist: great experience overall with Dustin on my custom piece! My tattoo is incredibly detailed with color blending, gradients, and no lines. The process: I sent a few photo examples before my appointment to provide an idea, but explained the concept to him in person while picking and choosing different aspects of each example. This is my first tattoo with color. The size, detail, and placement were great concerns for me. I struggle with perfectionism in my creativity, so I had many thoughts and ideas to share with Dustin. He sketched the idea, presented it to me, and listened to more feedback. I appreciated the perspective he gave me in return, because it really put me at ease to trust him through the process. He was really attentive through the two-hour ink session and chatted along the way. Dustin is the definition of an artist and a true professional. I would trust him with another tattoo if I visit O'ahu again. Check out his portfolio, he'll deliver!

My husband and I made appointments ahead on the phone because we were just visiting the area. The woman on the phone gave us a ballpark quote for $250 per tattoo. The day of the tattoo my artist tells me $350 but does it for $300 and my husbands artist charged him $500. Unfortunately because of the woman on the phone misquoting us so dramatically we couldn’t leave much of a tip. I understand an estimate is just an estimate but it was wayyy off. The tattoos themselves are great just felt bad since we were budgeting our trip for a lot less on the tattoos we couldn’t give the artists the tip they deserved.

I came out with a beautiful tattoo and ended up getting an infection. He dug down too deep in the middle of it and all of my color spread outward..my green leaves looked like puffy paint and one of the leaves popped off. I now have to pay $150 to have it fixed. If I could post a picture I would. My friend got the same exact tattoo and hers was the same way. Changing to 0 stars

3 of us got a tattoo while visiting Waikiki on vacation! I had originally messaged Dustin on Instagram about a week before and he was very quick to respond and willing to accommodate 3 different small-ish tattoo designs. He booked us all in during one time slot and did our tattoos back to back. He was easy going, flexible, and did a great job! He was willing to make small changes to our designs and ensured it was exactly what we wanted! The tattoo shop itself is very clean and has a good vibe. It was a fun and entertaining environment, other tattoo artists working in the space interacting with us and each other made the experience that much better! The only reason I’m not giving 5/5 stars is that the pricing was not very transparent. We were told pricing would be based on each piece and didn’t find out the price until after the tattoo was done. The pricing between the 3 tattoos we got seemed inconsistent given all of our tattoos were on the smaller side and 2 of them only consisted of line work. I just wish pricing had been explained prior and that we were informed of if there was a “drawing fee” for having any of the designs altered/adjusted. But I do understand you have to pay for a good tattoo, so it’s not too big of a deal! Overall, we are all happy with the experience and how they turned out. Thank you again Dustin and Sacred Art!

Aka unfortunately turned what was supposed to be one of the highlights of my trip, into a rather disappointing experience. Booked in December, left my deposit, and the day of, waited half an hour for the guy to even show up. Then claimed he didn’t have my appointment, and reluctantly agreed to do the tattoo after I showed him the confirmation of my appointment. Upon completion, he had run out of the “second skin” and was too uninterested to ask one of the other artists to use some of theirs. After he sloppily wrapped my arm in Saran Wrap, he didn’t even ask if I liked the tattoo and just started flipping through baseball cards without acknowledging the experience he was providing. Charged for an entire day when it was approximately 5 hours, then only wanted to accept cash. I only had my credit card as we had agreed in the first place, and then the icing on the cake was a minimum 15% tip, when I certainly didn’t feel he had earned a tip at all.
