Best açaí bowl I’ve ever had.

I worked with tattoo artist Joshua Flinn. I chose Josh because he does Polynesian tattoos with color and his attention to detail was on point. I love my tattoo and its colors as well as the fine line details!!! I also really liked Josh as a person, he’s got the island vibe and is just a cool person to talk to while you’re getting tattooed. He took his time, did a great job and was reasonably priced. I can’t thank you enough for a great tattoo and all around great experience!!

I went to Josh Flinn for a tattoo in memory of my dog. He has a ton of experience with color, banding and pet related tattoos. I had a pretty specific request for my dog's colorful collar to be scaled to fit as a band around my wrist. Josh was patient and worked to get the lines perfect. The colors are amazing. I'm so happy I have something beautiful to remember my sweet dog. I recommend Josh and will go back for the next one.

I followed Josh from 1-Point Tattoo over to The Collective, and I’ll follow him wherever! What can I say that his artistry and talent do not? I can tell you that Josh is one of the coolest guys you will ever meet, and he makes the entire process comfortable and meaningful. We went to Josh for a consult and quickly realized that there was no one better at the craft and artistry we were looking for; which is precision, attention to detail, and originality. Josh puts all his effort into designing and tattooing the perfect piece for each person. I have never had an artist do more than one tattoo in the 20 years I’ve gotten tattoos, and Josh has now done 3 pieces… he’s the artist you will return to every time. He’s worth the wait. I can’t speak highly enough about his character, his skills, and his personality. Take him a good “dad joke” for me! 😆 Thank you, Josh for the memories, the entertainment, encouragement, and the amazing artwork I’ll carry forever.

I had Josh do a tattoo for me (big Poly-tribal shoulder piece). Came out really awesome! Josh's line and detail work is second-to-none! Sharp points, crisp lines, really amazing work! I liked sitting with him so much I asked him to touch up and older tattoo I had and he really helped me out by making it pop again! Phenomenal artist! Overall great space, clean environment, really nice people in the shop!

Great shop with friendly staff and incredible artists! One of the best on the island if I can be so bold! Shop has a great asthetic with an excellent coffee shop/Cafe attached for your longer sessions.

I have been looking for the right tattoo studio and artist for a while and I finally found it here in Kailua. The collective has a great vibe and the artists seem to truly synergize. I worked with Jen Godfrey. She did an amazing job and took my ideas and created the most perfect embodiment of my desires. She was easy to work with and confident in her art. I am over the moon happy and would recommend this studio and artist for sure!! I am sure many more tattoos will appear on my body from here!

Travis of Li'ili'i Donuts makes the tastiest little donuts! We ordered some Christmas ones for our Christmas in July party. They were a success!

Great experience at this place. The doughnuts are delicious, everyone was friendly and inviting. My tattooist Jimmy did an AMAZING job! He has great hands for this ....my mother and i were very comfortable and it was my least painful tatt (collar bone) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you're in the area 😊 Aloha 🌺

I was a walk in for a tattoo, they were super nice and got me right in. I loved the outcome of my tattoo Jimmy did an amazing job! He has such light hand work I hardly felt my thigh piece. If I'm ever back in Hawaii I will come back to this shop and request Jimmy!

Updated review: I was able to get an appointment with the artist I wanted, I was treated with much respect, the shop was cozy, friendly, clean, well maintained, offered cafe goodies, and was an overall great experience..Jen aka Jenuwine Leigh aka Jennifer Blevins took time to find out what I had imagined. Working with previous tattoos and completing a beautiful piece..Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo. I was so much at ease that I fell asleep 4 times during my session.. If you are looking for great vibes, professional tattoo artists, you must go check these folks out, you won't be disappointed...

Sinjin is a super cool guy that does fantastic work. He is very professional and takes pride in his craft. He made the visit for my friends and I fun and memorable. Highly recommend him for any crazy designs you can think up.

Sinjin did an amazing job with a group tattoo for myself and three friends. Any tattoo idea you have he can make happen.

Sin was awesome! Walked in with several different ideas and we collaborated together to come up with a super fun, unique design we were both excited about and it turned out amazing! Talking about placement he brought up a lot of really good points and he printed out tons of different sized stencils to make sure it was perfect. He’s got a light hand and is very talented. Highly recommend and looking forward to working with him more in the future!

Got tattooed by Sinjeezus! He executed the tattoo beautifully and I had by far one of the coolest, most comfortable experiences getting tattooed. Highly recommend :)

I hesitate to even write this review, but I feel this is necessary for anyone else that wants to book an appointment with Carly, one of the artists that work for The Collective. Carly had very poor communication throughout my time trying to work with her. Throughout the entire process, I wasn’t given any details about her rate, how long she thought this piece would take, etc, unless I asked about it. I asked her to sketch a piece for me, in which she did an excellent job. I then requested a few simple edits to her sketch; VERY simple removals of small items on the sketch. Her response was already a huge red flag in that she wanted to try out her original sketch on me first, with a lot of hesitancy to make my very simple changes. I had to push further, saying that I respect her sentiment with the original design, but at the end of the day, I didn’t want to waste either one of ours’ times because I already knew I loved her piece except for those minor edits. After getting other people’s opinions, none of them had such a poor experience with the communication, or lack thereof, with their artists. My husband and I decided to hold off on the appointment for the time being, trying to decide if this artist was right for us. Carly denied to respond to our request to rebook with a different date. Rather, she blocked me on IG, then followed up by making a post on her IG story with the changes that I had requested, and stating “available design..DM me to claim”. The sheer lack of professionalism from this artist cannot be understated.
